Introduction: Healthy Loaf Made Super Easy

About: Mother of two small children. Create stuff is a nice way to get the stress of my shoulders

This is a recipe I have had for a long time and I absolutely love it!

You can use what you have in your pantry, just let the imagination flow, it's impossible to fail with this loaf.

Super easy since you need no yeast. Just mix the ingredients and then let it bake in the oven, no need to watch or control.

Step 1: Ingredients and Tools

(Metric units first, imperial units at end in bold)

Ingredients
3.5 dl wheat bran (1,5 cups)
3 dl whole wheet flour (1,3 cups)
2 dl rye flour (0,8 cups)
1 dl flaxseed (7 tbsp)
1 dl sunflower seeds (7 tbsp)
1 tsk salt (1 tsp)
1 tsk soda (1 tsp)
anise/fennel
1 dl bread syrup ( a darker kind) (7 tbsp)
4 dl sour milk or yogurt (1,4 cups)

Tools
Bowl
Something to stir with
Oven
Ovenproof loaf vessel

Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients

First - set the oven to 175 *Celsius or 347*Fahrenheit

Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl.

The best about this loaf is that you don't need to be that precise. I have tried a lot if different flour - all have work.

You like almond/raisin/chia seeds/plums or something else? Just add it to the mixture.

Me and my three year old assistant like some kind of nut and raisins in our loaf (well, the assistant likes raisins outside the loaf as well : ) ).

Tip, try to spice it with cardamom instead of anise/fennel.

Step 3: Finalize Dough and Bake

Add syrup and sour milk( or yogurt if you prefer that).

Put it all in a ovenproof vessel, and put a parchment paper in the vessel to be sure that the loaf will not be stuck.

Put it in a preheated oven for approximately one hour.

Done!

I like to eat my slice of loaf with butter and cheese together with a cup of tea. Nom nom. : )
