Introduction: King Aragorn's Coronation Crown

This is the coronation crown of King Aragorn in the movie Lord of the Rings - Return of the King. This is very easy to make for anyone and only a simple materials are needed which you can find so easily.

1. A box board

2. Pencil

3. Black pen

4. Ruler

5. Paper cutter / a pair of scissors

6. Glue

7. Paint(silver, bronze, yellow) and a paint brush

8. Black and white cords

Step 1: Pattern

The first picture has the main pattern. The size the round shape has to be decided by the perimeter of the head. according to that, you can decide the size of the four pieces.

You can copy the pattern to the box board. Make sure the measurements are correct after copying it to the board.

Cut the parts using the scissor.

For the largest piece (which comes in the front), cut all the little pieces separately from the box board. (last picture)

Step 2: Pieces for the Middle

In all the four pieces there are separate pieces which have the above shape.

To make the edges embossed, stick the white color cord as shown in the figures.

For the largest two, stick two separate lines of cords.

Paint the cord in silver color and then paint the board parts in bronze-golden color. (mix the bronze and yellow colors)

Step 3: Longest Piece

For the longest piece, first, stick the black color code in the edges (in the upper part i kept a little space because it looked nice). The black color code is thicker than the white color code.

Then, using the pencil, mark the shapes you want to emboss, and then, stick the thin white color code on those marks. (shown in the figures)

Finally, paint the whole piece in silver color.

In here, i used the black cord because, after painting it in silver color, it gives a metallic look which is mixed with black, and that looks nice for me.

Step 4: The Four Pieces

For the front piece, at first, I painted those small pieces in silver and then, drew the edges with a black pen. Then, I glued the small pieces one by one to the largest piece.

For the other 3 pieces, I drew the shapes using a black pen.

For the middle, I glued the previously prepared middle pieces onto the four large pieces.

Finally, decorate the middle pieces as shown in the pictures.

Step 5: Finalizing

Glue the edges of the longest piece together to make a cylindrical shape.

Stick the four pieces to that part, as shown in the figures.

Now you are ready to go to wear your crown and be a KING.

Hope you will enjoy when making your own crown.
