Introduction: Optical Illusion Pants to Make Your Package Bigger

Just from the number of Google Populated Ads hanging around my browser and strange emails that seem to nest in my inbox there seems to be a lot or I should say a growing interest in making your male genitals larger.  Well I can't do that for you but my interest in optical illusions can help.  Not in any physical way but more of a perceptual trick.  The eye of the beholder rather than the hand of the holder.  

We just use the oldest illusion in the universe to help.  


Step 1: Ponzo (the Illusion Not the Scheme)

If you have ever explored the reason for the moon appearing larger on the horizon than in the sky the explanation has to do with the Ponzo illusion.  The brain perceives what it thinks is a distant object of being smaller than a near object.  If the two objects are the same size the one that the brain is tricked into thinking is further away is perceived to be bigger in relative size because of it.  The brain always assumes that the horizon is much further away than the ceiling of the sky, thus a moon is thought to be much larger lower down in the sky than straight up.

There are a ton of readily found examples of this illusion and I have put up one of the better ones for this example.  The two red lines are the same length.  

Step 2: Ponzo Pants

So why not use the illusion to your best advantage.  I did up a couple of examples for you to use but honestly the sky is the limit with this illusion so get out your pants and do some crazy things with them.  Dont be offended by the example--the package in this case belongs to Michelangelo's David and has been on public display for 500 years.
