Introduction: Refreshing Green Tea and Lemon Cleanser(home Spa)

This  is a facial designed to leave you feeling cleansed and fresh, using the natural ingredients of green tea and lemon. For this you will need..

-1/2 a lemon
- 2 green teabags
- a sieve
- a sharp knife
- chopping board
- a spoon
- a bowl
- a small plate

Step 1:

Put the the lemon and teabags into a bowl and fill it 3/4 with boiling water. The amount of water is non specific- it all depends on how concentrated you want your cleanser to be. :)

Step 2:

Cover the bowl with cling film and leave to mix for 2 minutes.

Step 3:

Remove the cling film. Please note that steam may scold you if you remove the corners of the cling film too quickly!

*This is an optional stage added to this step*
after removing the cling film put a towel or cloth big enough to cover the face and the bowl over your head and steam your face for 2 minutes, this will loosen pores and help to remove any dirt from skin. Afterward splash your face with cold water to tighten the pores.

Step 4:

Remove the teabags and lemon from the water. Take your sieve and press the teabags gently against it with your spoon. Leave the teabags slightly damp and place them onto a small plate. Repeat with the lemon and throw away.  The remaining liquid in the bowl will be your cleanser. If you would like a cool cleanser put the liquid in the fridge. If you want a hot cleanser re-seal the liquid and put to one side.

Step 5:

Take the teabags with you and lay yourself down in a comfortable position. Place the teabags over your eyes and let them work their magic for as long as you can keep them on ( the longer the better). My mum taught me this trick, teabags are fantastic at removing bags from under your eyes that give away tell tale signs of fatigue!

Step 6:

Now take your warm or cold cleanser and fill a bowl with water of the opposite temperature. If you had hot cleanser make cold water, if you had cold cleanser make hot water. The more extreme the temperature, the better this works so make the water as cold and hot as possible, making sure you don't make it too hot or you will burn yourself!

Step 7:

Now take the bowls and alternately splash your face with liquid from either one. The different temperatures of water help to liven up your skin and increase blood flow to the face, giving you a more awake look.

Step 8:

And that's it! If you have any questions feel free to leave them below. I hope you enjoyed my first instructable! :)
