The cedar boards I used were actually cedar fence boards and they shrunk a little leaving a small gap between them. I hope this helps. I’m sure your grandchildren will love it. 😊

Thanks for your interest in this project. Your little guy will love it. I used cedar fence boards which were all 5.5 inches wide. On the table part I did have to rip two boards thinner but I’m sorry I don’t have the table here to give you that measurement. If you start each outside board with a little over hang and then lay the rest out you should be able to figure it out. Please post some pics of it when you get it done. Thanks

I used regular 2 x 4’s from the hardware store. They were either yellow pine or white wood. To protect them from the weather I put one coat of a exterior primer on them then two more coats of a exterior paint. Thanks for checking out my post.

I’ve only used it a couple of times so far and haven’t noticed any rust yet but if I do start seeing a problem I would probably make sure to dry it good after cleaning and give it a thin coat of cooking oil. Th

Haha, I turned it at a very slow speed and wrapped two inch masking tape around the outside edge to further secure it. Hope this makes you feel more confident.

Nope, it feels really good. Once I wrap my fingers around the handle my index finger lays against the side of the blade. Thanks

I used silmar 249b polyester resin. I kick it off with a little extra catalyst so it hardens quickly before the powder can settl

Ca glue (cyanoacrylate adhesive) is a fast setting glue. Super glue is a ca glue. It comes in either thin, medium or thick. The brand I use is Stick Fast. Thanks for checking my post out. 😊

Haha, yeah I noticed I didn’t do so well of a job at proofreading but after I saw the mistake I was scared to try and change anything until the contest over. What it should have said was to pour about 1/2 inch of resin at a time into the pvc pipe alternating the colors as you go. I promise I will fix the mistakes after next week. Thanks
