here's the result ! we made some salt dough, colored with red gouache. i did the samml one, my son did the big one. we just had to plant the teeth in the gum. i sprayed some varnish so as the salt dough doesn't melt (it's baked, but still) , and it also allows better the teeth to stay in place. there was more dough than enough, so we used the leftover to make a tongue... they're like "BWAAAAAAAAAH!!!", happy as a clam! :D

bwahaha my 6 y.o. son gonna love making this! :Dmaybe i'll add some pink dyed salt dough or something to make the gum...
- Riffifi commented on BettyHill's instructable Repair a Broken ScissorView Instructable »
I made it !i just used two layers of pine wood i carved a notch in one of the layers, then glued the "sandwich" with two components epoxy glue. it's not as good looking as yours but at least it's usable again. i got another pair of scissors to repair, and now i got the skill to do it! \o/

i've read this type of bitter comment many times. "you should have not used those plastic figurines, they are rare 80's collectibles", you should have not knapped this antic roman piece of glass, that was precious..."i see value in the work and efforts put into this project.

- Riffifi commented on sun.'s instructable Lavender Oil Printed ShirtView Instructable »
when i was in art school i knew a woman who liked to transfer photocopies onto other paper, someone else tried the same process on a sheet of latex and it workd too. they used trichlorethylene as a solvant for the toner to transfer, so i guess lavender oil contains a similar chemical. but unlike the trichlorethylene, at least lavender oil smells good and you don't need a gas mask to use it :D
- Riffifi commented on Igioteno's instructable Make Your Own Bee Bath
well the moss was freshly soaked, and the weather has been warm for several days at that point. for the bee it must have been like drinking from a sponge.but now i don't know where to put that bee bath in my garden. i thought a sunny place could be easier to find but the water will soon be hot, maybe the bees won't like it. plus it'll evaporate quickly. do you check your bee bath one time or more during the day?
View Instructable »there's a pot filled with moss in my garden and last week i randomly watered it. a hour later, i noticed a bee flying around. it drank some water and came back for more several times after. i was a bit puzzled why it came here because there's a little "pond" (not the proper word but idk how to describe it) in this area and the bee could have drink there anytime, but i've never seen one around the pond. maybe the water in the pot was more fresh and clean? but it was just rain water...

- Riffifi commented on Kiteman's instructable Porg Transport CrateView Instructable »
this is a bad idea to transport porgs. they reproduce faster than light and go everywhere. porgs are like tribbles, a cancer for space ships. when you see one, there are thousands of them hidden in the jeffree tubes.but nice crate though, and maybe if contained they won't spread all over the place ;)
- Riffifi commented on Thingking's instructable Water Saving Toilet-Mounted Basin
omg this is awesome!! :D
View Instructable »not sure plastic requires less energy to produce, but for sure, those box can break easily after several years, wich would not happen with a stainless steel bowl (or a ceramic salad bowl). you can already find in store those toilet tank with a small sink on the lid, but if your goal was to demonstrate it was possible to do it at home with less money, yeah, it's a success. :)

- Riffifi commented on Thingking's instructable Water Saving Toilet-Mounted BasinView Instructable »
why not use something more sustainable (and nicer to the eye) than a plastic box, for the basin? a metal salad bowl, for example, ok, a bit more tough to cut but not impossible either. and if it's about being cheap i guess you can find one at a Good Will Store, or flea market.good idea, nonetheless.

thanks i'll try on amazon then :Danother question if i may : i see you use the whole flower, not just the petals. so there are substances also in the heart of the flower? i got two jar of dried petals that i torn apart from the heart. does it worth use them to make oil? if not i'll keep them for herbal tea.

i did some flower oils two years ago (with calendula and Saint-John's-wort) but i got busy last year and could do another batch. i'll be able to make some again this year, i've already sowed calendula last summer in my new garden.i used fresh flowers in oil and let the sun do the job during summer. i may use your technic as it doesn't require sun (there's more rain than sunny weather along the year where i live^^). i'd like to find this potatoe ricer, never seen such a tool before but it looks handy. even maybe to do syrups?...

- Riffifi commented on Waldemar Sha's instructable CapScale. Attaching Scales by RivetingView Instructable »
all those lovely bottle caps... *-*i think my favorite is the lacing method. i find it more simple and fast. plus if you're up to make a whole armor, i guess the final weight matters, so a leather lace is probably lighter than rivets.

i thought of you yesterday, i had a walk with my son, and along the road was a recycle container for glass. guess what was lying on the floor around the bin : bottle caps. like, a lot.(i think this place is the HQ for youngsters to drink without being annoyed by adults)i collected some of those caps that were clean and unben. not sure what to to do with them yet, but some have nice colors and logo :)i just saw your latest instructable about laceing those caps, it's nice to see you haven't give up!
