Thank you. Ill try to connect them anti paralel. This green and yellow cable was for the winding of the transformers. Should I cut it off outside the transformers and add 2 cables for the two welding handles? What cable size should those be?
Thanks. I know how to weld with a buy in the shop arc welder. Just made some barbecue stands, but the welding looks bad. Im not experienced. If I make one I wanna be sure to make it safe. Do you have some safety tips?
Thats good. That sounds like a new instructable.
Hi, can I ask you how to connect this? I drew a line for the Live cable (brown) and Neutral (blue). Is this right? And is there a point of putting a Ground or earthing the welding machine? Should that cable be connected to the casing, if its metal?

Ill try that!
If I would submerge the transformer in oil, does the transformer have to be in a container, so it doesn't touch the oil?
How hot can the machine get without getting damaged? What is an okay working temperature?
sorry, lots of questions.
Thanks! Then I use 10 mm and see how many laps I can fit in into the transformers. The more laps, the more volts, or more power right?
Thank you! I have always wondered how to do it. Now I can also try.

Sorry my keyboard is bad. 8AWG is 8,4mm. Can I use 10 or 6 mm instead? Like 10mm, with less turns around the transformator if it gets too tight?
thanks i wanna try it too. here they only seem to have 6 and 10 mm2 cables, it seems like 8awg is in between. can i se 1 of them?
Wow thanks Downunder. So I can basically get a 18v motor, and a power supply, either from new battery cells or a laptop adapter like Yonatan suggested. And then my standard Ryobi 12v drill becomes a 18v pimped out one! :-) I found this on eBay, MABUCHI RS-775WC-9511 DC 6-18V 18000RPM High Speed Power Carbon Brush DC Motorhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/MABUCHI-RS-775WC-9511-DC-6...If the motors are the same size, maybe this 18v one is bigger. I haven't opened mine yet to check how big it is.
Thank you! Thats a great idea.
Thanks. Im not sure i would find a filter for a garden barrel, and if i do, I'm sure its expensive.
