Are you still experiencing these problems?I can see that you have cleared your cache, but have you also tried clearing cookies from the last few days? Sometimes when I am viewing the site during a release I will experience strange errors and need to get rid of both.I was not able to reproduce it.

The pot is being used to adjust the resistance on the emmiter, and therefore only two pins are needed. You only use the third pin when you want to create a variable voltage divider which adjusts the output voltage of the center pin. In this case we don't need it.

Theoretically, yes. One way would be to replace the potentiometer with digital potentiometer ICs, and have those controlled by an Arduino. You can use the Arduino to interface with any sort of sensor or controller.

A premium membership allows you to download PDFs of the individual projects. There is no access to additional content with such a membership.

It can be anywhere from a few minutes or a few years. Featuring is subjective to the person(s) who are looking at the Instructables as they come in. A lot of different people on staff with different perspectives view Instructables, and sometimes the feature-worthiness of a project may be overlooked. We try to catch as many as we can, but sometimes things slip through the cracks.

    Hacking a USB Keyboard

That is not really a problem solved by this Instructable. The way I think you would want to do it is to plug it into a Raspberry Pi, and have it run a script which reads out loud the keypresses using pre-recorded audio. And then, the script (pretends to be a keyboard) and exports a keystroke command on to the next computer (assuming you ultimately want to show this on a computer screen). You could also take a similar approach with an Arduino, but it may be a little trickier and require some additional hardware.
