Introduction: Adult Coloring Page (Radial Art)

For years I tried to find coloring books for adults (relieves stress) but I'd just find ADULT coloring books if you know what I mean. Lol I've noticed that now adult coloring books have become "a thing" and that it's mostly radial art... for like $20. So hopefully this Instructable can save you a few bucks.

Step 1: Supplies

All you'll need is
*A sheet of sketching paper. (Tracing paper works too. You want to be able to see through it)
*A pencil
*Permanent marker
*Scissors (optional)

Step 2: Folding

Fold one corner of the paper down to create a triangle.

Step 3: Fold Again

Fold the tip down to fold the triangle in half.

Step 4: Cut

Cut or tear off the rectangular part so you only have the triangle left.

Step 5: Sketch

Keeping the paper folded, sketch your design in pencil. Abstract lines, shapes, your name, anything! For your first time, try to make the lines and shapes large. Once you get the hang of it, you'll more get detailed. I regretted drawing the face on this one lol

Step 6: Trace

Using the permanent marker, trace your design.

Step 7: Unfold

Completely unfold the paper and fold it in half along one of the creases.

Step 8: Flip It Real Good!

Flip it over and you should be able to see the design show through.

Step 9: Trace

Trace the design that shows through. When you unfold it the paper will look like this.

Step 10: Fold Again

Fold it in half and flip it over. Trace the design again on each half.

Step 11: Done!

Once you unfold the paper, you should have 4 identical copies of your design.

Step 12: Enjoy the Color Time!

Now take out your markers, crayons, colored pencils or whatever. It's time to color! (You could even make photo copies first; just to have on hand)

Here's a few photos of designs I've done.

I hope you enjoyed this Instructable and I'd love to see what you come up with so, please share your photos if you do this!
