Introduction: COCONUT MILK PULAO WITH PANEER CUBES

Coconut milk pulao is quick, easy-to-do lunch in India. It suits well with paneer cube masala. It takes 35 minutes to make the dish. The preparation time is 10 minutes.

The ingredients required for making the coconut pulao are:

Coconut - 1

Basmathi rice - 2 cups

Onion - 3 No

Green chilli - 2 No

Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbps

Butter -1 tbps

Oil - 2 tpbs

Spices(bay leaf, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon) - 2 each

Coriander leaf - half handfull

Salt - as required

Step 1: Preparing the Cococnut Milk

Grate the coconut and add some water and put it in a mixer. Choose a colander with fine holes. Strain the milk. Again add some water and use the mixer. Repeat the process until the coconut is drained to a extent where it cant be added with water again. Do not go more than three cycles.

Step 2: Making of Coconut Pulao

Choose a pressure cooker with thick bottom. Add oil and butter. When it becomes hot enough add the spices and fry the finely chopped onions. After the onion turns brown add coriander leaves. Then add the ginger garlic paste.

When the raw smell of ginger garlic paste is gone add rice, coconut milk, green chili and salt as required. keep the gas on full flame. when it starts to boil, close the pressure cooker and leave it for two whistles.

Wait for 15 min to open the cooker. open the pressure cooker and give a gentle stir from bottom of the pan without breaking the rice.

Your coconut milk pulao is ready to taste.

Step 3: Ingredients of Paneer Cube Masala

The ingredient for making paneer cube masala are

Paneer - 200g

Onion - 2 No.

Tomato - 1 No.

Capsicum - 1/2

Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp

Curd -1 cup

Turmeric Powder - 1tsp

Chili powder - 1 tsp

Salt - as required

Step 4: Making of Paneer Cube Masala

Cut the paneer into cube shapes of medium size.

Chop the onion and tomato and bell pepper of medium is size. Do not fine chop any ingredient.

After all ready heat the pan and add oil. When the oil becomes hot fry the onion into golden brown and add bell pepper. Later add tomato and ginger garlic paste.

Adding salt during frying makes frying process quicker. When the sound of moisture is gone add a teaspoon of turmeric powder and required quantity of chili powder and salt.

Pour the cup of curd and when it starts to boil put the paneer cubes. Heat it for two minutes.

Paneer cube masala is ready to be served with pulao.
