Introduction: DIY Fabric Flower Ring

About: Hey, I'm Muhaimina! A Craftaholic person (or Witch if you may say!). Obsessed with swirls and polka dots... and Instructables is pretty much my second home! Follow my IG Blog https://www.instagram.com/the_craf…

I've seen this ring in online stores but it seemed like I could make it. I didn't wait and made 4 of these right away.

The flowers turned out really fluffy and cute... besides making rings by using this flower, you could also make brooch pins, hair bands, hair clips and so on...

Follow this ible to find out how I made these cute, fluffy flower rings :)

Step 1: Materials Needed

To make the fabric flower ring you'll need:
  1. Fabric- any kind should work,
  2. Scissor,
  3. Needle and thread,
  4. Glue (hot glue or white glue),
  5. Blank finger ring.

Step 2: Cutting the Petals

Iron the fabric before cutting the petals.

Cut a long strip of fabric (1.5 inches width and 12 inches length),
Now cut the strip into small square pieces (1.5 X 1.5 inches), you'll need 6-8 square pieces to make this ring,

Fold the square piece into half,
Fold it again into even thirds (see picture),
Now cut the open end of the folded piece as shown in the picture,
Unfold the fabric piece and you'll get a flower like pattern with 6 petals.

Step 3: Stitching the Petals

Prepare your needle and thread,

Take a piece of petal,
Squeeze it in the center to create random folds,
Stitch the center carefully to hold the folds.

Now stitch all the petals similarly one-by-one,
Before stitching each petal, do a second stitch on the current petal.

Once you're done stitching all the petals it will look really fluffy,
Carefully hold the fluffy parts and do 2-3 stitches on the center and then tie a knot.

Step 4: Making the Ring

Now that you have the flower ready it's time to make the ring.

Take a blank ring, apply a small amount of glue on the flat surface of the ring,
Now simply place the bottom of the flower on the glued area and press the flower carefully.
Allow the glue to dry.

Done! I loved how the ring turned out ;) you can use any kind of fabric, any color you want. You could also mix and match different colors and fabrics.

Enjoy!
