Introduction: DIY: Glue Resist Textile

About: I'm a hippie flower child who loves Led Zeppelin, music in general (seriously though, I'll listen to anything! <3) nature, summertime, and thunderstorms. :)

Hello, y'all! I know it has been a long time since I last posted a DIY, but I'm back with an awesome one. Leeeeeet's go! ;)

Step 1: Dyin' to Get Started

Ha. Low-key, anyway. :D

For this DIY you need:

-Glue

-White cotton

-Dye

-Washable marker

-Wax paper

-Paint brush

-Small container

Step 2: The Road to Creativity...

Is a long and winding one paved with glue resist! Who knew? The things you learn from a Diamonds_OnTheInside DIY! ;)

Now grab your marker and make a design on your cotton. The design I did happens to have come to me when I was half asleep. Pretty awesome. :D Go over your design with your glue and let it dry somewhere safe. Don't worry about the marker not washing out-it comes out just fine. :)

Step 3: One Who Dyes Alone...

Ends up lost and colorful on the road to creativity. Never dye alone, kids! ;)

Er, sorry. I'm in a weird mood. LOL

Now grab your dye and mix it up in your little container. I used orange, green, and yellow because that's what I had available, but you can use any colors you like. Let your pieces sit overnight, then rinse them out and enjoy!

You can use these textiles for anything you like! I hope you enjoyed this DIY and if you recreate it, hit me up on Twitter. My handle now is @The_CraftyChica. I'd love to see your recreations! Thank you for checking this DIY out. :)
