DIY Tutorial - How to Made Enamel Earrings

Tools and Materials:

Enamel powder
Kiln - heating
Red copper(Round Shape)
Tweezers
Enamel sieve
Earring accessories

Step 1: We Need to Make 3 Times

Making enamel earrings we will need 3 times of selecting and 3 times of baking. One for the producing of the back, another for the bottom’s color and the last one is for the pattern’s producing.

Step 2: Color Up the Earring Pendant Back

Put the brass piece on the tweezers and then put some enamel powder into the powder sieve. The powder sieve will be above the brass and we will slightly pour out the powder to make sure the enamel powder is evenly fallen onto the brass.

Step 3: Baked

Baking: Put the brass piece onto the baking rack and then slightly put it into the oven. The temperature will be set as 200℃ and bake it for 8 minutes.

Step 4: Soak

Take the brass into the de oxidization solution for soaking. This will clean off the brass’s dirt on the other side of it.

Step 5: Cleaning

Clean the brass with cleaning agent and get rid of the black dirt on the brass’s back.

Step 6: Handle the Front Color

Wipe and dry the cleaned brass piece and put the side of the brass which is without enamel onto the tweezers. Then we will make the color of the bottom. The process is the same with Step 2 above.

Step 7: Baked

Baking: Put the brass piece onto the baking rack and put it into the oven. Temperature is 200 ℃ and time is 8 minutes.

Step 8: Make the Pattern

Wait for the baked enamel brass piece to cool off and we will use tools like mold to put enamel powder of different colors onto the brass. （The enamel powder for bottom color we choose is white and the color for the pattern is black.） Now we get the black and white plaid enamel patterns.

Step 9: Once Again Baked

Do the baking again. Brass piece into the oven and temperature is 200℃. Time will be 8 minutes.

Step 10: With Hook Assembled Into Earrings

After all the process above we get the eardrop of enamel brass. Next process is the making of the ear studs. Fix up the ear stud with the enamel brass eardrop. Now we obtain the whole enamel earrings.
