Introduction: Double Cheese Pizza

The all-time classic and kids favourite plain cheese pizza with extra cheese!

Step 1: Pizza Crust

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon sugar

1 ½ teaspoon dry or active yeast

¼ cup milk powder

½ tsp salt

1 1/3 cup warm water(105 degrees F)

2 tbsp vegetable oil (for dough)

Procedure:

Combine yeast and warm water(105 degrees F) in a bowl and let it sit around 10 minutes or until yeast starts to bubble. In a mixer, add all remaining ingredients and add above water to knead a dough.

Place this dough in a warm, draft free location and let it rise for 1 ½ to 2 hours or until puffy.

Divide dough into 2 equal parts for 2 large pizzas or 3 parts for 3 medium sized pizzas. Oil/Grease the pizza pan.

Using rolling pin, roll out each ball of dough to a 10-12 inch circle and place in prepared pans and let them rise for 30-40 minutes.

Step 2: Dough

Step 3: Pizza Sauce

Pizza Sauce

2 cups Tomato paste or freshly blended tomatoes paste

¼ cup water

1 ½ tsp sugar

½ tsp dried oregano

½ tsp marjoram

½ teaspoon dry basil leaves

½ tsp dry thyme

¼ tsp garlic powder

¼ tsp salt or to taste

1/8 tsp black pepper

½ tsp lemon juice

Procedure:

Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat and simmer covered for 30-45 minutes or until it’s as thick as you like it.

Alternatively, you can use a store bought pizza/pasta sauce.

Step 4: Assembly

Pizza Assembly:

Pierce puffed pizza dough disks by fork lightly. Spoon sauce on the dough and spread to within 1 inch of the edges. Sprinkle with any chicken cubes of your choice and shredded mozzarella cheese of desired amount. (You can also use topping of your choice). Lightly coat each dough disk edges with melted butter using silicon brush just before placing in oven.

Place pizza in oven preheated to 475 degrees F and bake for 8 minutes. Broil from top for 1-2 minutes until cheese is bubbly in the center.

Step 5: Sprinkle and Serve

Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle marjoram all over the cheese. Let it cool for 2 minutes and transfer pizza to a cutting board and cut into wedges using a pizza cutter. Enjoy!
