Introduction: Easy Strawberry Roll Party Favors

About: I'm a harpist who enjoys DIYing. :)

This is a super quick & easy way to dress up some store bought treats for party favors!

The red paper & green ribbon give a nod to the strawberry theme without overpowering it.

Supplies

  • cake rolls
  • red paper (try one with a pattern if you want!)
  • green curling ribbon
  • tape
  • scissors
  • paper cutter - optional

Step 1: Cut

Cut 2" wide strips...as many as the number of cake rolls you'll be decorating.

I use a page that was about 8.5" x 11" & cut the strips going the short way. Then I cut each of those in half, ending up with a strip that was about 2" x 4.25". They ended up a smidge short, but it was no biggie.

Step 2: Wrap & Tape

Wrap the red paper around the cake roll & secure with a piece of tape at the bottom.

You could probably also just secure it with the ribbon in the next step.

Step 3: Wrap & Tie

Now, wrap a piece of green ribbon around the paper & tie it in a double-knot. It wouldn't hurt to have an extra hand to help you with this.

Step 4: Trim & Tie (again)

If you have excess ribbon, trim it off & use it for this step. Otherwise, just trim another piece off the spool.

Add this shorter piece to the knot, tying with a single knot.

Step 5: Curl

Curl the ends of the ribbon & you're set!

If the ribbon is tied on loosely, you can add a small piece of tape on the bottom to secure it.

Step 6: Party

Now it's time to party! Hand these out as favors, use them as party snacks, or use them however you wish!

If you make these, don't forget to share them with @thefischlife & @Instructables on Instagram!
