Introduction: Flamingo Santa

About: I enjoy making things. My making them is usually based on necessity, the fact that it doesn't exist, and/or buying it pre-done would be way more expensive. I like all kinds of projects and find this site a ver…

This idea came to me while taking out Christmas decor, That pesky flamingo kept getting in my way. I was thinking of putting a Santa hat on him, but found a much cooler solution!

Step 1: Materials

Plastic Flamingo

Santa wine bottle cover with hat (I got mine at Dollar Tree)

Scissors

Glue gun and glue sticks

Step 2: Making the Coat

Cut the base/bottom of the wine bag. Lay flat front side down and cut in the center, upwards towards drawstring. Stop just before the drawstring, we will be using it later to fit the flamingo and secure the coat. See picture.

Step 3: Placing the Coat and Gluing It On

Place the top of the bag over the flamingo's head. The front of the wine bag should be on its back. Using the drawstring, secure the collar around the flamingo's neck. Adjust the collar to your liking.

Lay the "coat" at the flamingo's sides and secure with hot glue. I glued onto the flamingo and pressed the fabric into the glue. If your wine bag has a belt as well, glue it in place under the flamingo's body. Let cool.

Step 4: Glue on the Hat and Enjoy!

Finish the look by hot gluing the Santa hat on the flamingo's head. Let cool. Place your flamingo somewhere fun and enjoy the kitschy Christmas vibes!!
