Introduction: Friendship Bracelet- Chevron Pattern

Jewelry making is a hobby that I enjoy very much. I recently started making friendship bracelets. These bracelets are so easy to make and my friends are all amazed at them and want to learn to make them too. This fun and easy project  are great to make if you have time to kill  or a holiday coming up as it  is a perfect gift idea

Supplies

You will need:

-embroidery floss

-scissors

-fingers

-time

-tape, clipboard or safety pin

-tape measurer

Step 1: Preparing

Pick 4 colors of embroidery floss and measure and cut 1 m. Then align all threads and fold in half.

Step 2: Start Loop

Now tie a loop. To do this take about 2 cm the embroidery floss and make it into a four shape. Then pull the piece of floss through the four. Pull and secure at the desired length.

Step 3: Color Order

Separate all colors in the order you want your bracelet to be. I did white, navy blue, teal, and purple.

Step 4: Starting the Braclet

Now to start our bracelet you will take the outermost color( white) and do a forward knot( the first one) over the other three threads. then you will do a backwards knot( the second one). It's basically a forward knot but inverted. you will then continue this process with the remaining threads. You will do the same on the other side but doing the backwards knot first then the forwards knot. Once you are done with the side you will take the middle two strings undo a forward backward knot, the backward forward knot, a forward knot twice, or a backwards knot twice.

Step 5: Making the V’s

Now we will start creating the actual Chevron bracelet. We will do that by taking the outermost and making a forward know twice on the next string. You shall continue this process until you meet the middle. Now you will start on the other side. It is very similar except for the fact that you have to do a backward knot twice starting with the outermost string and using the string next to it. Once you reach the middle you will do a forward backward knot, a backward forward knot, a forward knot twice or backward knot twice.

Step 6: Repeat

Continue step 5 until the desired length.

Step 7: Ending the Bracelet

To end the bracelet you will do the same thing that you started with. you will make a forward knot using the outermost string on the 3 inner strings. Then you will do a backward knot on that outermost string on the 3 inner strings. Continue this process until you meet the middle. On the other side you will do a backward knot on the outermost string to the three inner strings and then you will do a forward knot using the outermost string on the 3 inner string. Continue until you meet the middle. Now you shall do forward backward knot, a backward forward knot, a forward knot twice or backward knot twice.

Step 8: Brading

Take your strings and combine two of them together now using your “ three threads”  you will braid them together tying a knot at the end.(You don't have to continue braiding until the end of your strings. ) You will do the same process on the other side.

Step 9: Brag, Wear, or Gift

Enjoy your bracelet and make many more I think it’s a really fun and relaxing project. Make them for gifts or you and a friend it will be a hit.
