Hi, guys! Have you ever thought about the way your hair affects your look? If not, then think about that a bit. Hair is one of the first things a person pays attention to, when seeing you for the first time. The more appealing your hairstyle is - the more remarkable your image will be. It’s not a secret that hair matters a lot to each woman. Regardless of the hair length and color, any girl tends to create harmonic image that will make her charming. Original and elegant hair accessories can positively contribute to your hair style, making you even more charming and confident than before. Personally, I have never thought about hair from this point of view, but when my niece was born, I started paying closer attention to all those adorable hair accessories available for sale out there. And you know what? They seemed charming at first, but then I’ve noticed that many of them are too similar. That’s when I’ve got an idea to create my own hair accessories. One of them - a headband with lace and beads - I’ll describe right away. So, let’s get started now and, I hope, this headband will inspire you to make DIY hair accessories for your loved ones.

Step 1: Supplies

  • Plastic headband (preferably, wide)
  • Braid lace 5mm wide - 4 m
  • Glue (preferably, transparent)
  • Lace 10mm wide - 1.5 m
  • Small beads
  • Scissors
  • Needle and thread

Step 2: Decorate the Ends of the Headband With Lace

Cut small pieces of lace and glue them carefully to the ends of the headband. Don’t be in a hurry when doing this as your headband should look neat and elegant in the result.

Step 3: Wind the Lace Round the Headband

Then fix the lace on the ends of the headband and wind it round the headband until it is ready. Do this carefully and attentively not to leave blank spaces.

Step 4: Fix the Ends of the Lace

The ends of the lace shouldn’t be loose. Cut the lace accurately, leaving the ends around 10mm long. Wrap them to the back side of the headband and glue them well.

Step 5: Plait the Braid Lace

The next step is plaiting the braid lace. Cut 1m of lace, leaving it aside to make a flower afterwards. Take the remaining 3 meters and plait the braid lace in the following way:

  • Make a bow and loose one of its ends by pulling it. Then insert the loop you’ve got into the remaining loop and fix the second end you hold in your hand;
  • Right after that, make the loop on the other end and insert it into previous one.

Plait the braid lace along the headband.

Step 6: Make a Flower

Then braid the second braid lace, using the remaining 1-meter lace piece. To make a flower out of the braid, sew it with a basting thread and pull the thread well. Then cut the ends of the lace and sew a bead inside the flower.

Step 7: Glue the Braid to the Headband

Glue the braid you’ve got to the headband. Then wait for about 15-20 minutes until it is properly-fixed.

Step 8: Attach the Beads

String the beads on a thread and glue it to the headband in the center of the braid.

Step 9: Attach the Flower

Then choose a place on a headband, where you’d like to attach a flower. Glue or sew it well. That’s it! Your headband with lace and beads is now ready. It looks really stylish and trendy and it’s really unique. You won’t find the second similar accessory elsewhere. Such a headband will certainly appeal to young ladies as well as to girls and women. This is a perfect gift that won’t be left unnoticed!
