Hot Glue Cardboard House

Hello, this is one of my first instructables, so forgive me if its a little rough :)

In this instructable i'm going to show you how to make a Cardboard house using just some Cardboard, Hot glue, and some acrylic paint. Well, i hope you like it!

Supplies

A couple big sheets of Cardboard ( I used some flattened boxes )

A hot glue gun

some Hot glue sticks

Some choice acrylic paints

an Xacto Knife

A paint brush and pallet

A clean space.

Step 1: Getting Started

Start by cutting the cardboard into several pieces:

Draw the pieces on the cardboard with a pencil before you start cutting.

The Front wall: 13 x 8 in.

The Back wall: 13 x 8 in.

The Front roof piece: 13 x 6 in.

The Back roof piece: 13 x 6 in.

Both sides: 9 x 8 in. ( this piece has an oblique triangle on top that measures 6 x 6 x 9 in. )

Then on to the next step!

Step 2: Painting!!!

Next paint the design of house you want on all of your pieces,

Above you can see what i did, you can copy mine, but its more fun designing your own!

Step 3: Gluing!!!

Next, slowly glue the pieces together piece by piece and wall by wall and roof by roof.

Make sure the pieces line up before you glue because mine didn't turn out so well. :(

Step 4: My Mistakes.

I made a ton of mistakes on mine because i rushed to get it done.

on this one i made my roof piece too small and it didn't connect, so i had to patch it up, and that made it look worse.

Step 5: Conclusion

In conclusion, my project isn't great, but it was fun making it, and i hope yours is better!

above, you can see two cardboard houses, the one with the black roof is one that i made a few months ago, and its also MUCH better. and I added a cow just for fun :P
