Introduction: K'nex Ball Machine: Concatenation (Pictures)

About: I like to build with K'nex and Lego.

I built a K'nex ball machine that I call Concatenation. It has 3 networks and 10 paths. It doesn't work as well as my other ball machines, but I think it is cool anyway! When building Concatenation, I tried something I had never done before: combining two building systems, K'nex and Tetrix Prime. Tetrix Prime is a building system designed for building robots, but I used it to build parts of Concatenation. I used a mix of my own element designs and other people's element designs. Concatenation uses 12 of my own element designs. The first one is the Inverted Dropper Arm.Click here to see the instructable Concatenation's other elements!     On your blog post for rolling illusions, how did you get the machine to be remote controlled like that? is that a knex motor with a really long wire?

    It is a remote controlled outlet kit. It is usually used for turning on and off outside Christmas lights from inside a building. It has the remote you saw me using, plus a receiver that I hid underneath the floor of Rolling Illusions. I plug a power strip into the receiver, and then plug all the cords of the K'nex motors into the power strip. In the image, the smaller rectangular box is the receiver. The larger circular pyramid box is the power strip.

    I first used this system on my K'nex + Marbles ball machine.

    Sorunome has an Instructable for modifying battery powered K'nex motors to be plug in motors.
