Introduction: Toner for All Skin Types

This is one of the smelliest Instructables that I will have but it works and you will be happy with the results. We will use apple cider vinegar and it will smell like a gym just opened after being closed for 50 years but hey you will have a great glow- isn't that what matters in life (a joke)?

Apple Cider Vinegar is made by fermenting pressed apple juice until the sugars turn to vinegar. Apple cider vinegar can be used as a topical astringent for acne prone skin as well. Our skin has a protective layer called the acid mantle our natural skin ph is between a 4.5 and 6. The ph of Apple Cider Vinegar is around 4.5 and 5.5. When your pH levels are in balance your skin sits at that optimum level between oily and dry. Apple cider vinegar contains beta carotene which helps reverse damage caused by free radicals giving us healthy skin.

Ingredients

1/4 cup Organic Apple Cider Vinegar (you can find this in the grocery store)

1 bottle to store the toner ( I bought a spray bottle because it was cheap and I don't mind spraying on the cotton pad)

3/4 cup spring water or filtered water

1 cotton pad

Step 1: Pour a Little Water in It

Fill the bottle 3/4 of the way with water. I used spring water but I know a few people use filtered water. Do not use tap water!!! I maybe a little bias but then again as I write this I think that maybe I am a hypocrite because I do wash my face with tap water.... Anywho (smile) we don't judge on Instructables!

Step 2: Take a Whiff ..... Whew That Smell

Fill the bottle the rest of the way (1/4) with ACV.
I wasn't exaggerating about the smell! It smells bad but you will definitely be happy with the results.

Step 3: Shake It Like a Polaroid Picture

Close the bottle and shake it making sure to mix your toner really good. I even did a dance with it because I was humming the Andre 3000 song, shake it shake it oh yeah like a Polaroid picture! I was by myself and couldn't take the picture.... That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Step 4: Feel the Tingle

Now that you have your toner pour it on the cotton pad and put it on your face. It may tingle a little bit but once you get used to the feeling it will feel refreshing. Use your toner everyday, I recommend using the toner at night because it does smell. It maybe a little drying so do one layer. Always make sure you follow with a moisturizer of your choice. Make sure to store your toner in the refrigerator and throw away after a week.
