Maker HS STEAM Integration Project Ideas - SCCOE Wavemakers

This collection is a few targeted project ideas for high school students, from the makers and educators of the Instructable's community, based on Makerspace Coaching pilots during 2025-26 school year.

The educators of Santa Cruz County of Education Wavemakers program are integrating more STEAM-based hands-on learning into existing high school classes, through participation in the new school-wide Makerspaces. Our goal is expansion then integration of STEAM project based learning from CTE into other core subject areas, with a larger goal to make STEAM career exploration more inclusive and make movement into CTE career pathways more accessible.
