Introduction: Oh La La Feather Earrings

About: I'm an avid crafter who dabbles in just about every medium possible (can you say ADD?). I love inspiring and getting inspired by fellow crafters, and am on a mission to help revive the lost art of handmade liv…
Feathers are one of my favorite adornments, and I would use them to decorate just about everything if I could. What's not to love about something that is both soft and inviting, yet mysteriously seductive? One of my favorite projects, I turned these creamy plumes into earrings Marie Antoinette would covet.

What you will need:
*A handful of feathers (I used four)
*Earring hooks
*1/4" thick ribbon
*Jump rings
*Scissors
*Glue (or clear nail polish)

Step 1: Getting Things Into Position

Begin by placing your arrangement of feathers on a flat piece of ribbon. I recommend using no more than 2-3 feathers so that the earrings won’t be too bulky.

Step 2: Secure the Ribbon and Feathers

Tie your ribbon around the tip of the feathers into a bow, and trim the excess ribbon and feathers to a length of your liking. Place a bit of glue (or clear nail polish) around the top portion of your feathers and ribbon to secure them together.

Step 3: Adding the Earring Hooks

Attach your earring hook by running a jump ring through it’s opening and the back of the ribbon bow.

Enjoy! Your own set of feathery earrings with little work and cost!
