Introduction: Potato Gravy Curry
Potato gravy curry with tomato base and simple spices is flavorful and goes well with roti or puris.
Ingredients
-2 Boiled potatoes
- One diced tomato
- Half cup boiled fresh green peas
- One teaspoon coriander powder
- One teaspoon red chilli powder
-Pinch of turmeric powder
- One teaspoon ginger garlic paste
- Salt as per taste
-One teaspoon cumin and mustard seeds
-Half teaspoon split black gram
-Cooking oil

Step 1: Boil Potatoes
First step is to boil the potatoes.Take 2 potatoes and boil them in pressure cooker. Even boil fresh green peas and keep ready.Peel and chop the boiled potatoes and tomatoes.
Step 2: Preparing Curry
Take a vessel and add oil and heat it. when is heated add teaspoon cumin,mustard seeds. when they crackle add split black gram and saute till they change little brown color
Step 3: Add Tomatoes
Next add chopped tomatoes and saute for few minutes.Add pinch of turmeric powder and teaspoon ginger garlic paste.
Step 4: Add Spices
Once tomatoes becomes mushy,Add teaspoon coriander powder,teaspoon red chilli powder and salt as per taste.
Step 5: Mix
Mix all added spices with mushy tomatoes.
Step 6: Add Potatoes
Add boiled chopped potatoes and slightly mash them by pressing with spoon.Add water and make gravy like consistency
Step 7: Add Water
Next add little water and make gravy like consistency.
Step 8: Add Boiled Fresh Green Peas
Finally add boiled fresh green peas and give a mix. cover and cook for some time.
Step 9: Serve
Serve potato gravy with puri or chapathi.
