Introduction: Single Batch 'Cado Dipp

Growing up , I used to watch my Dad eat Avocados.

I thought to myself, " Those look gross! Why would he eat those!?".. Turns out I was to young, and naive at the time to truly appreciate the 'Cado.

Now, I am all in! They are delish!!! This fairly new found love had inspired me to think outside the box, and find lovely and creative ways to enjoy this "Dinosaur fruit".

Single Batch 'Cado Dipp is sure to please! Simple ingredients to compliment a delicious fruit, you will be spreading this on sandwiches. You will be using it as dip . You will be in love!

Let's get started :-)

Step 1: Let's Gather Up the Essentials!

You will need:

Avacodos ( 3 small or 1 medium /large )

Half a lemon , juiced.

1/8 Cup of Olive Oil

1/4 Teaspoon of Salt

2 pinches of Garlic Powder

2 pinches of Cayenne Pepper ( optional)

* You will use knifes, spoons, bowls and either a blender, a food processor or a hand mixer and mixing bowl

Step 2: Prepare the Avocado

Cut, remove pit , scoop out the fruit of the Avocado, and put into a blender, a food processor or even bust out that hand mixer that you have :-)

* I've opted for the hand mixer since it was recently gifted to me, and could benefit from the experience ;)

** Discard the skin and pit in the compost, or trash, or even try to grow the pit for fun !

Step 3: Zing a Ling! Let's Add the Others.

Add that freshly squeezed Lemon Juice, Salt, Cayenne Pepper and Garlic Powder to the 'Cado.

Mix that all together until you form a nice paste.

* Use a spatula to scrape down the sides of the bowl, blender , or processor.

** I found i mixed with the hand mixer for at least a few minutes.

This is also where i found out that i needed to add more avocado, as my lemon juice was slightly over powering for just one small avocado.

Step 4: Mixing, Here We Go!

With the mixing on the go, begin to add the Olive Oil slowly.

( You may have to stop your machine several times, and hand stir the ingredients, depending on what you are using)

Puree to a creamy smooth mixture.

*You should yield 3/4 cup of finished product. This dipp is easily doubled, tripled, however much you wish to make.

Step 5: Viola!

Here is your finished Single Batch 'Cado Dipp.

Use all the dipp at once, or store in an air tight container for up to a week :)

The sky is the limit on how you choose to enjoy this delicious mixed up dipp :)

I personally am going to make a deli sandwich, complimented on 2 slices of toasted Gluten Free bread!

Let me know in the comments below how it turned out!!
