Introduction: Sweet Corn Pulao
-Using corn and rice we can make delicious pulao.This can be a good one pot meal and is gluten free
Ingredients
-One and half cup boiled sweet corn kernels
-one diced onion
-Few chopped spring onions
-Tsp black cumin seeds
-Bay leaf
- 2 cloves
- small inch cinnamom stick
-2 cardamom
-Tsp coriander powder
-Tsp red chilli powder
-half tsp garam masala
-salt as per taste
-2 cups rice soaked in 4 cups water(sonamasoori rice)
-1/4 cup milk
Step 1: Tempering
-Take little oil in vessel and add tsp of black cumin seeds(shahjeera).when they splutter add bayleaf,2 cloves ,2 cardamom ,small inch cinnamon stick and pinch of turmeric
Step 2: Add Onions
-Add chopped onions and saute for few minutes
Step 3: Add Sweet Corn Kernels
-Next add one and half cup boiled sweet corn kernels and mix everything.
Step 4: Add Spices
-Add tsp coriander powder,half tsp garam masala and mix with corn kernels
Step 5: Add Remaining Spices
-Add tsp red chilli powder,salt as per taste,few spring onions and mix so that all spices are blended with corn kernels.
Step 6: Soak Rice in Water
-Before starting the procedure take 2 cups of rice and add 4 cups of water to it and soak for about 30 mins.(for sonamasoori rice 2:4 is riceand water ratio)
Step 7: Add Rice to Spicy Corn Kernels
-Next add rice to corn kernels and mix for few minutes
Step 8: Add Water and Milk
-Now add 4 cups of water from soaked rice and 1/4 cup milk and mix
Step 9: Cook Rice
Mix once and cook rice by closing lid and mixing in intervals until rice is cooked
Step 10: Serve Corn Pulao With Raita
- Finally garnish with spring onions and serve corn pulao hot with any raita
