Welcome to the world's best Knex Uzi Pro. It is the most realistic, the most functional, the most aesthetic, and most importantly the best quality Knex SMG currently listed on Instructables. The Knez Uzi Pro has it all: the rails, the automatic ram in the magazine, the comfortable trigger, and the performance needed for a small Knex gun. It is the best project I have endeavoured to make. It features two rails, one on the top and another at the bottom, like the real Uzi Pro. It has a perfect handle and trigger guard relative to the real one. It has nice sights, and two magazines to choose from. One of which is focused on performance, the other on aesthetics and realism. As far as I am concerned, this gun shoots pretty well. I made a small gun like this so that I could focus on quality of photos and the overall layout of my Instructables. I have provided a piece count for the gun, both of the magazines, and for each of the attachments. I was even allowed to borrow a professional camera for the photos, which I took in expressive mode. They are more vibrant and look good with Knex pieces. Here are some stats:

Supplies

Here are the supplies needed for the Uzi Pro. Note that some broken pieces are required, and the amounts are quoted in the Modified category. See the pictures 16-21. You need to break everything with pliers. Note: This piece count is only for the gun itself. It does not include the firing pin, magazines, or attachments. Step 1: Layer 1

This is basically the first level of the gun, of which is 5. It does posssess "Gun Shells" as the 6th and 7th layers. We also put the rods in place to hold everything together in this step.

Step 2: Internals

We are just starting to build the internals by making a base that fits the firing pin. We also build part of the barrel. Note here is where we are going to attach both of the stocks.

Step 3: Rails

It gets fun here. We are making the top rails of the gun. This will enable us to attach stuff on top.

Step 4: Handle/Grip Internals

A larger step. We are making the handle internals to fit the magazines in.

Step 5: Trigger + Trigger Guard

The trigger and guard is all it is. Quite easy.

Step 6: Finish Handle

Just a quick finish of the handle. Ready for the cover.

Step 7: Gun Rails + Barrel Internals

We just build the bottom rail, which is a key part in the Uzi Pro. We also will make the barrel.

Step 8: Layer 4/Internal Cover + Finish

This is layer 4, which just covers all the bitty stuff we put inside.

Step 9: Layer 5

Covering the gun.

Step 10: Gun Rail Covers

Covering the rails for want of 'safety'.

Step 11: Gun Shells + Rubber Band Placement

The shells we talked about in Step 1 are here. Just to make the gun look cooler by further covering the internals and making it look more solid.

Step 12: Firing Pin

This is the firing pin. It pushes the bullet out of the barrel. Note this is not included in the piece count.

Step 13: Magazine (showcase)

This is a simple, yet ergonomical magazine imitates the real Uzi Pro magazine. But it has a traditional ram. The ram works efficiently, but it could be quite unhelpful and in the way. The magazine, however, has a higher chance of jamming bullets while shooting because the ram goes all the way up, blocking the firing pin in the case of no ammo. This is not so with the proper magazine shown in the next step. I have included here a piece count separately to the gun's one, because someone building this project might have the choice of either magazine. Don't worry, it's not piece consuming.

Step 14: Magazine

This is the main magazine. Although it looks far worse, the function of it far exceeds even the aesthetics of the previous magazine. It possesses an automatic ram, something rarely implemented on Knex guns. The ram even stops going up into the firing pin after all rounds have been shot. Quite handy. It is also simple and easy to build. I have provided a second piece count like the first magazine, for those of you with limited pieces.

Step 16: Ammo

The ammunition of the gun. This works better than 16mm rods, since it does not clog nearly so much, especially with the proper magazine.

Step 17: Red Dot Sight

Ahhh, the best red dot in Knex history! Beautifully made to fit standard knex rails, it combines aesthetics with ergenomics perfectly! It is very easy to build, and has a red dot facing downwards, not upwwards, with a Knex micro to classic rod. It is also symmetrical, unlike some red dots which I have seen... Overall this would be the best attachment I have included with this project. Please comment on your thoughts about the red dot, if you have read this. I really would want to know your opinions. Step 18: 'Grip' Guard

Another attachment here, and with nothing else to call it, it is called 'Grip Guard'. I have seen this attachment on some Uzi Pros, so I have built it here for my Uzi. It looks quite realistic, apart from the barrel which is thinner on mine than on real Uzis. Only a critical eye would be able to notice this, since it is such a small difference. But it looks very good, and is very simple to build. Unfortunately it has a few broken pieces, but what else do you expect with such a good looking attachment? Piece Count:

Step 19: Stock (Simple)

Since an SMG rarely goes without either a fixed or attachment stock, I have built one. At first it proved quite difficult, but in the end it looked nice and accidentally fit perfectly on the back of the gun without having to remove any pieces! Just, SNAP! The Uzi Pro actually has a stock like this, and this looks quite realistic, apart from the slant being too defined. It can't be helped. It does prohibit the firing of the gun, since it takes quite a lot of space from the firing pin, but it is for aesthetics only. It also isn't too stable.

Step 20: Stock (Advanced)

So. The most advanced attachment I have built so far. I have copied this from a stock I saw on the Uzi Pro, and it accidentally turned out pretty accurate. It is the most piece consuming attachment, but it looks quite nice. The only problems are you have to adjust the internals of the gun a little bit, and you are not able to shoot with it on. It is not too stable, so don't expect to fling it around even a little since it will most likely break or fall off. I have made it as stable as I could, but feel free to change any part of it you want.

Step 21: Suppressor

I just thought this gun should have a little suppressor, since most guns can fit one on the barrel. I think it looks quite nice, though not nearly as expected on a real gun. The thing is Knex can not always have it right. I lack some of the small wheels to make a more aesthetic Knex suppressor, but this is fine. It does allow shooting, though I haven't tried it. It could be a sort of ramp for the bullet, and that might have an effect on the shooting. You will have to see.

Step 22: Tactical Flashlight

This is the last attachment for the project. It is meant to be a flashlight that can be attached on the bottom rail, as displayed in the last pictures. It does its job, however it could be improved with a Knexman translucent headtop. I just don't have that. Apart from that, it looks quite good regarding positioning on the gun, and it is simple to make. It took me only a few minutes to design it, which is great. It still looks as good as flashlights can get with Knex.
