Introduction: Viking Knit Beaded Earrings

In this instructable I would like to show how to make a simple and sleek Viking Knit Beaded Earrings. I have used Viking knit for the body of the hoop, and a core wire running through the knit which holds its shape.The earring is secured closed with a hinged earwire, which allows the earring to swing freely, whilst closing easily and securely.

Step 1: Items Required

1) Silver Jewelry Wire - 20, 24 and 26 Gauge

2) Gold Jewelry Wire - 20 and 26 Gauge

3) Head pins

4) Variety of Beads

5) Round Nose Pliers

6) Flat Nose Pliers

7) Flush Cutter

8) Earwire

9) Bead Cones

10) Viking Knit Kit ( wire weaving rod, draw plate and pin tool )

Step 2: Viking Knit Kit & Basic Viking Knit

Step 3: Beaded Viking Knit Earring Model 1

1) Take a Head pin and insert the beads in a pattern you wish and secure them making a loop.

2) Take a viking knit wire, and cut them into two equal halves (by measuring the number of loops)

3) Then take a 20 gauge wire, insert the viking knit wire forming a loop.

4) Insert the bead cones on the both sides of the viking knit wire.

5) Then insert the headpin loop made such way that its in center of the loop.

6) Then secure them making a loop and twisting the rest of the left out wire around the loop.

7) Attach to the earring hooks.

Beaded Viking Knit Earring Model 1 is Done !!!

Step 4: Beaded Viking Knit Earring Model 2

1) Take the viking knit wire and cut it into small parts of about 1 inch each piece.

2) Take a headpin and insert the bead followed by the viking knit wire and then a bead cap.

3) Secure everything by making a loop and attach it to the earring hooks.

Step 5: Beaded Viking Knit Earring Model 3

1) Take a viking knit wire, and cut them into two equal halves (by measuring the number of loops)

2) Then take a 20 gauge wire, insert the viking knit wire forming a loop.

3) Join the both ends of the loop and insert the bead followed by the bead cap.

4) Secure everything by making a loop and attach it to the earring hooks.
