So let's say you get bored and have a lot of candles that you never use lying around. Why not make a wax mountain? I started by just melting candles over candles. Friends joined in and melted candles. And it became our hang out hobby. Mine is just over a year old and is made of over 300 candles and 4 crayon packs, a slender vase and a wooden plate. Standing 3ft and It weighs nearly a hundred lbs now. It's quite the conversation starter.

Step 1: Let Them Melt

I put a big candle in the middle then just stacked them and and had several dripping all over. Soon it will start taking shape. You just need a lot of wax.

Step 2: Drip, Drip, Drip, Drip, Drip, Drip

I started going in a spiral, drip by drip, around and around. It's actually super mesmerizing and calming.

Step 3: The WAX Mound Grows to a MOUNTAIN.

I forgot to mention. Wax mountain is extremely messy. Unless that is you prepare for it. A drop sheet and table clothe would be useful. Wax mountain changed constantly. New features always added. Others buried. At this point in wax mountain, we asked ourself. What now? After discussion and philosophizing we decided we would take wax mountain to the next level.

Step 4: The Next Level

We placed a wooden plate on the tip of the mountain having it balance there. Then put a slender vase on the plate and started melting wax. Letting it drip into long strands for pillar support.

Step 5: Drip, Drip, Drip, Drip, Drip Again.

Dozens of candles went into the pillars. A wax dolphin was added and he is now diving through the Wax fall.

Step 6: Keep on Dripping.
