Introduction: 4 Watercolour Painting - Autumn Friends

About: Hello there! I'm Francesca and I love drawing... that's why I started to share my passion with all of you with speed paintings and tutorials. I hope to inspire your artistic creations with my Instructables! :)

In this Instructable I will show you my new watercolors, and I will test them on a painting :)

PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO OF THE PAINTING FOR MORE DETAILS!

Step 1: Colors Used

I only used four watercolors for this painting (+ fineliners and white gel pen):

- dioxazine purple

- phthalocyanine turquoise

- indian yellow

- quinacridone gold

In the last picture you can see how they perform on watercolor paper (both wet on dry and wet on wet).

Step 2: Basic Shades

I start from the little gnome using very diluited colors.

To create contrast, I will also add other layers of paint (next steps).

Step 3: Squirrel + Gnome Shades

I paint the squirrel wet on wet and I continue layering the gnome and his mushroom.

I also paint the mushroom where the squirrel sits.

Step 4: Background

I paint the background both wet on wet and wet on dry.

I also add new layers of paint where it is needed (leaves that are on top and bottom of the picture).

Step 5: End ~

I complete the picture tracing lines with fineliners and adding reflections with white gel pen.

THAT'S IT, DON'T FORGET TO WATCH THE VIDEO FOR THE COMPLETE PAINTING PROCESS.

I hope you enjoy this painting, please let me know what you think about it.

Bye! :)
