Introduction: Homemade DeGreaser

About: Mom, wife, traveler, baker, jewelry maker...and so much more!

As I said here, I really don't like all the vapors and chemicals in the usual detergents, bleach etc. I try to make most of the cleaners we use and this time I would like to show you how to make an ecological and skin-friendly grease remover. I use it especially to clean the kitchen.

Step 1: Ingredients, Material, Tools

You will need:

- 300 ml of distilled water

- olive oil soap

- essential oil lemon grass / orange / lemon

- funnel

- 350 ml spray bottle

You can use tap water instead of distilled water but distilled water increases the shelf time of the degreaser. Also I don't recommend using tap water if it's on the harder side.

Step 2: Mixing It

Grate 2 tablespoons of the olive oil soap in a bowl. (picture 1)

Heat the distilled water a little - no need to boil it. Pour the water on the soap and stir until the soap dissolves. (picture 2)

Let the mixture cool down and then add 10 drops of the essential oil. (picture 3)

Use a funnel to fill the spray bottle. (picture 4)

Close the bottle and keep the degreaser in a dark place. (picture 5)

How to use it:

Just spray some degreaser of the surface you want to clean and the wipe it with a kitchen towel.
