Introduction: Knex Ball Machine: Paradox

About: Hey! I'm Sandroknexmaster. I like building with knex, especially ball machines. I live in Belgium. I speak Dutch, but also English and French. I hope you like my stuff, and like always comment, rate &...

My long expected big ball machine has finally arrived!

Hi everyone!

Here is my 4th big ball machine, Paradox.
I’m very proud of this build and I hope you’ll like it as much as I do.
It has 10 lifts and 11 paths, organized in 2 networks:  Network 1 has 1 lift and 3 paths, and network 2 contains 8 lifts and  8 paths aswell. The 10th lift is the ball shooter in the floor. I count it as a lift too because it also lifts the ball (Not very much but it can be higher or lower depending on the rubber band)
4 new lifts are included: In network 2 the 1st, 3rd and 5th lift, and the lift in the floor. Also 2 new path seperators (each network one) and some new elements.
This machine height is 2m90cm, width 1m85cm and depth 1m25cm.
Built time: 2 december 2012 - 17 may 2013
Pieces: 30674

Thanks:
-Intro 20th century fox and Paradox title created with ivipid.com.
-Music by a friend.

-And offcourse all knexers who inspired me!

Is this possible to build just by the video?

Give it a try I'd say!
It think it would be possible, but very difficult. For me it would be a little easier because I put this together piece by piece, so once I start building I would recognise some things for sure.
If you first use the instructions for the lifts and elements (links in description), that would make it a bit easier.

ho my god im late but congratulation for winning the toys, rods and connectors contest and when this contest open ?

Everybody says that because it's the biggest project, but the biggest isn't always the best XP
I think everyone's chances to win are even big, but off course I'll be very happy if win :D

With the Knex community, most of the time people think a Knex project is better just because of its size. Congrats on winning the grand prize! :-D

Well, it's that way with ball machines anyway, not with all projects. :-P
