I have a wobble dado I inherited. Used it once. It was...something. I’ve stuck with the regular stacking dados since. I didn’t find that it made a good flat bottom. And seemed to kick a bit. Probably shallow cuts and slow feed are key.

Go for it!
I've routed it with good success, but there is the possibility to get some furry edges. Some steel wool and sanding can take care of that. Starting with sharp bits helps to. Then sealing it with your preferred sealer.

Thanks! You can actually make quite intricate ones, but it takes a lot of set up and multiple cutting profiles. There was a whole section on it in the old instruction manuals with a few different designs.

Spam-b-que.

If you look at a picture in step nine you can see how I have some boards mounted on the back of it so that I got a fairly level mount against the tree. Then I sunk some long screws through the back and into the tree. Lag bolts would work well, but a few long deck screws would probably be fine. You’re not going to be jumping up and down on the thing n

I've not heard of that. I still use the weight proportions and have no complaints. I mix up the soap now and thing, use different stuff. I don't think humidity will affect anything. These are just general guidelines to follow. The slight amount of absorbed water from the air wouldn't mess it up. I tend to immediately dump my borax and wash soda boxes into some labeled rubbermaid containers. It keeps them from clumping.

Just regular pine. Give it a couple of coats of good outdoor paint and it’ll last a long time. You can do the inside too for extra protection.

Sure. I just used the high alcohol stuff so that I could end up with a 35 to 40% final product.

I think my dad had a DIY spindle molder. Didn't use it much because it scared him. They just need good support to keep the wood in place and stop kickback.

Mine is a direct drive, not belt driven, but it's a hell of a motor. I don't mind the original fence, but I'd like it to at least be a cam clamp type. I could probably rig that up with a little effort. I saw that some models had a micro adjust on the fence. That could be useful.I do like this cutter. I think it'll be easier to use the tongue and groove and glue joint bits than on my router.
Photoshop. There's an online free version I also use called Pixlr

Both boards have wheels and hinges. As you push down the lever (foot switch) the wheels lift up the saw. The lever presses down the board that its not attached to lift that side.

Not with that 2 to 2.5" shopvac hose. I don't think I have any kind of blade that would make pieces big enough to clog it. The only issue might be small cut off end pieces falling in by the blade. A zero clearance insert would stop that though.

It is. It'll be even better on a real smoker. Even better is to cure your own using a fatty chuck roast.

- dlewisa commented on dlewisa's instructable Crawlspace EncapsulationView Instructable »
No, no moisture issues. It's not really a big crawlspace so it never seemed to need air conditioning in it. You're supposed to condition the air in encapsulated crawlspaces in case you weren't aware of that. Or put a dehumidifier in to keep it less than a certain humidity. I'm thinking less than 70% or 60%. The moisture will sit around under the barrier, but that's the whole point. It can't get through that barrier. If you have a pretty bad moisture problem you'll probably want to dig around the interior perimeter and put in drainage to a sump pump. Other than that you shouldn't worry about moisture under the barrier unless it's so bad it's pooling and filling up and making the barrier float!

Fine as long as you kept it some place dry. And didn't drop it and destroy it.

I actually had to open the GFCI plug on a pool filter and put it into a plastic bag with two of them to dry it out after some rain water found its way inside. Handy things to have around.
- dlewisa commented on dlewisa's instructable Monitor Speaker MountView Instructable »
These particular speakers have a screw hole mount in the back of them. Screw a screw partly into the wall, leaving a 1/4" or so out, then hang the speaker on it. Other speakers may have a 1/4"x20 bolt hole you can screw into. If all else fails . . . open the speaker and see what's inside, then screw into it where you won't damage anything.

My son is 10 and has no trouble. He used the old Transformers one that I mentioned having myself as a kid. He's used that one since he was 6 or 8 and would often make things himself with the pieces. We upgraded to this!
