Monster Hat

Woah, is some sort of extra terrestrial consuming you? No it's just this super-rad hat that we're about to make.

Step 1: Gather Materials

You will need:

(1) Cereal box or similar box

(2) Pipe cleaners

(1) Glue stick

(1) Roll of masking tape

(2) Googly eyes

(1) Plate

Step 2: Make the Mouth

First, flatten the box. Then, cut off the tabs.

You should cut through the box as pictured and have something that looks like the end product.

Step 3: Glue the Eyes On

Unfold the mouth and, using your glue stick, glue the eyes on as pictured.

Step 4: Cut the Hat Part

Next you'll be cutting a circle in a plate. This will rest on your head. You cut a hole in a hat, you can fold it in half and make a small incision, then unfold it and put your scissors through it to continue cutting.

Step 5: Attach the Mouth to the Hat

Start by putting masking tape on the center of the mouth and the brim of the hat. Then fold it up and add tape that attaches the corners of the mouth to the hat.

Step 6: Add Antennae

Use masking tape to attach the pipe cleaners to your hat for some wacky antennae.

Step 7: Enjoy Your Hat!
