Is it possible to make a DS slot 2 (GBA) Bluetooth adapter?? If the above is possible, is it also possible to run an app from a slot 1 mem card and connect to a device using bluetooth at the same time??

I would really like to get a Nintendo DS. I do have one question though; how well do NES and SNES emulators work on the DS? I ask this because my friend recently got an R4 card which he uses to play such emulators on his DS. When he plays games like Super Metroid and Super Mario Brothers 3, the graphics are extremely choppy and in some cases unplayable. It is not just those roms either, the DS seems to have trouble with nearly all of the emulator games. Is there a way to fix this? I would really appreciate anyone who can help answer either of my questions.

First of all, I'm not english speaker. Sorry for my errors. Well, I have a little sister. She borrowed me my Nintendo DS and... look the results. Maybe I can ¿fix? it with glue, but I don't want to glue the R button by error. And I don't know if it will broke later. And I don't want to call nintendo and lost 50 euros. Now is broken, maybe I can try something different with the console. Any idea?

Nintendo announced a new DS model at their conference. It's called the Nintendo DSi and has a few improvements over the Nintendo DS Lite. One, media support with an SD card reader and two built in cameras. Unfortunately, it does lack a GBA slot. There is also an online store for it in the same vein as the Wii Shop Channel and uses the same currency for DSiWare. Software on it will cost 0, 200, 500 or 800 points. Essentially it is just an improved version of the DS Lite, but with these improvements, it may well be worth getting. It is set for release in Japan on November 1st 2008 with US and EU releases to follow in Early 2009. What do you guys think?

I have an old DS, and it hit me: could a nintendo DS or DS Lite be converted intto a PDA-style storage/ organizing device? The original DS size seems like it could be made into one of these. Maybe it could still run DS games. Does anyone think this is possible? Can you explain how? And what do you think its capabillities would be?

Its the handheld battle! lol.Just wondering which is better Sony PSP or the Nintendo DS?Ive got a PSP and I actually got bored of it! The games are not that fun or addictive to me.....I havn't played on it since September, now thats a long time!I'm thinking of getting a DS, cause i have played an old pokemon game ( crystal) for the first time ever on my phone, and REALLY liked it. Its very addictive. So it would be better if i played it on a DS which has a bigger screen(s). My phone is only one 1.5 inch.Plus the mario games and the trauma center games look very fun!So also, I am asking you is it worth it to get a DS? Will I get bored of it ? Cause personally i found the PSP to be very overrated, and eventually I got bored of it, now its lying around somewhere - useless, collecting dust.

Hello? What happened? The PSP and DSi are all well and good but in my mind GBA games own them all! Sure, most are 2D and they cannot compete graphically with it's bigger cousins, but I would own my Gameboy Micro over a DS anyday (and I can say this genuinley because I had enough money to buy either a DS lite or a Gameboy micro and I chose the micro). I say this because compare a Sonic advance game to a Sonic Rush game. From a neutral perspective I found Sonic advance much more enjoyable than the DS version: It is simple (only 1 screen to focus on!) and none of these faffy side missions. And I would rather play SMB advance 3 than play some downgraded NFS for PSP. And let's not forget the biggest advantage of the GBM: PORTABILITY! It is the only true pcket console.

Just a thought i had when i saw all of these led projectors on here. and then i saw a ds sitting on the table then i though, what if there was a such a thing as a ndsl projector?! how i believe it would be contructed, at least the case anyways, would be to detach the top screen from the bottom. then to use the screen as you would any other in a diy projector, keeping in mind that it has to stay connected to the ds. then build half a ds arcade stand for the ds, and build the rest of the projector. would this be plausible? or would it be impossible?

So, I have had my Nintendo DS Lite for a few years and used to play it a lot until 2011-2012. I finally decided to start playing it again a few days ago when it stopped working. I know it isn't dead because I charged it completely before trying to use it. When I turn it on, the green light turns on but the screen remains black. Also, the screen has turned on once or twice but it's currently not working.

Somebody gave me a nintendo DS for free because it had a broken top screen. Using the power of instructables I replaced the top screen and now have a perfect Nintendo DS. Problem is...... I never play video games, I have no use for a DS. Anybody have any good ideas of things to make with a Nintendo DS.....either using the DS as a whole or savaging it for parts?

Hi all, recently, i had to take apart my DS lite to replace the button panel. when i got it apart, i saw that there was this white piece in the ds i took the panel from, but it wasn't in mine. unsure if it was required, i put it in mine. what is this piece for anyways? if it helps, i have a polar whit ds lite, and i believe it is a 3rd gen, judging by the fully covered wifi reciever in the base of the unit. but what is this white piece for? (its right beside the stylus slot)

Here's a idea my head came up with Look at photo, See?, DO THIS ON A OLD DS THAT YOU DON'T WANT ANYMORE! NOT MY FAULT! IF YOU GET BLEW UP OR SOMETHING! DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK! OK no more of that :) USB 2.0 outputs: 5 Volts DS output : 5.2 Volts Maybe a slower charge? What do you think?

Perhaps you've seen the Citroen transformer commercials like this one: In the March 2007 issue of Wired, a real-life Citroen transformer, built by Amorphic Robot Works with help from Squid Labs (particularly Corwin and Geo), got a nice, one-page writeup. I've included the page here, and you can also check out some more pictures here. I remember Corwin and Geo sweating quite a few bullets as they painstakingly took the initial idea, put it into CAD, animated it, checked for collisions, and finally did a safety analysis all on a tight deadline.

Hi, I'm wondering if you can connect a ds lite to a computer (pc or linux) through wifi. When I put the ds lite in pictochat mode, and refresh the wifi connections on the computer, it comes up with "Other Network". When I click on "Other Network" it asks for an ssid. I have tried a couple things, like Chat Room A, and stuff like that, but it doesn't work. Any ideas? And is this even possible? Thanks in advance. :D

I've been playing around with the idea of how one would mod an old Gameboy to open up and be able to contain the guts of a Nintendo DS/DS Lite

Also does anyone else have any ideas of what i could make? Thanks Make-O-Saurus

I've had my faithful Hot Rod Red Nintendo DS for a long time now... at least 4 years or more! A couple of years ago, my friend smashed the top screen with his forehead (don't ask...please, just don't). I sent it in to Nintendo for repairs and paid $70, and when it came back everything looked fine. This year, however, i have been noticing that something is wrong with the top screen. The colors aren't shaded right, like they don't blend into each other like they should. Also, every once in a while the screen flickers into false colors (light colors turn black, dark colors turn that freaky blue color). ALSO, every once in a while a shadow of what's happening on the bottom screen appears on the top screen. How weird is that? The best example is when I'm playing Animal Crossing, and as I'm walking around I can see a shadow of my character, the trees, buildings and everything on the top screen. They aren't colored in, just dark shadow images. It hasn't been that bad, but recently it's been becoming worse, and i'm afraid it's going to fail completely on me soon. I'd get a DS Lite, but a new DS, the DSi, is coming out sometime next year. Should I pay to get it fixed? Should I attempt fixing it myself and risk ruining it? Or should I just wait a whole year for the DSi, and hope that the screen holds out? Someone please help, my DS is pretty much my main console, and the discoloration and shadows drive me nuts when I'm playing MarioKart and such.
