Arduino Due not working? Answered

I tried to connect my Arduino Due to my pc to upload a program but it is not recognized by my computer. I updated the IDE to the latest that includes Due board selection, but I can't download drivers to use it. Nothing is listed in Device Manager and I tried both the programming port and the native port on the Due. Is it dead?

How to run an Arduino Due for user defined time?

I am using an Arduino Due for waveform generation on my Nokia lcd 5110 display.I want to generate the desired wave for a stipulated duration where time is taken as input .Kindly help me with this asap,also include code for the same if possible.

Question by Lakshya1503 | last reply

Is it possible to generate and display waves using the same arduino due board in real time???

OK!So I intend to design an Arduino Waveform Generator interfaced with the Nokia LCD 5110 with Keypad support.I have successfully incorporated the Keypad interfacing part but have stumbled upon waveform display on the Lcd. My program generates waves on DAC1 which i then give as input on the Analog(A0) pin of Arduino Due just like an oscilloscope takes an input externally.i tried merging it with another program which takes an analog input from the function generator and displays it on the LCD.More importantly,the programs work fine individually! So,is it possible to do this on the same board????Where could i possible be going wrong? Reply asap !!

ARDUINO OSCILLOSCOPE?

Hey there, I have been working on a recent project to build an Arduino Oscilloscope interfaced with a 4X4 keypad membrane with Nokia 5110 LCD display.I have successful individual code fragments/portions which 1)Generate waves interfaced with the keyboard 2)Display the same on the Nokia LCD 5110 i am using the Arduino Due and the 1st part of my code generates waves on DAC1 with the code as follows:- #include "Waveforms.h" #include #include //Set the desired duty cycle in percentage double dc,t,a,d; I got perfect results when i used arduino due and arduino uno simultaneously but have not been able to generate waves on the LCD using the same board. Is it possible to do the same. Can some1 help me incorporate the 2 programs into 1..Thanxx

How to use Arduino Due? Answered

I want to use a servo on an Arduino Due like I would on the Uno (use digital pin+ground+5vpin) but I am confused about the 3.3v limitation. The Due has a 5v pin on the board along with a 3.3v, but the website says 5v is not safe for it. Does that mean the 5v pin can't be used like the one on the Uno, even though it is there?

Judgement Dates Past Due

Hey, I like to watch the contests and all because I'm interested to see who wins (plus I'm rooting for one in particular, but that's neither here nor there). But the Epilog and Pocket-Sized challenges judging end dates keep getting pushed back. Is there a reason for this? Can someone pretty please help me understand? Thanks! -Me

Issue with Arduino's Mouse.Move()

I am using the new Arduino Due to try and move a mouse on my Macbook pro. On the Arduino website it says that I should be able to just add numbers into Mouse.move(xVal, yVal, wheel). I have tried adding numbers in the xVal and yVal positions ranging from .5 to 1000000, but the mouse never moves. I also am trying to use the code that they have on their website as demo code which takes in voltages from analog ports and puts them into the xVal and yVal. I have set it up with two 1K resistors in series with the analog inputs going into A0 and A1 with a voltage supply of 2.1 V. The amount the mouse moves should depend on how much voltage is entering the Arduino, but I am only getting -6 to 6 V coming into the Arduino. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to make the mouse move with Arduino's demo program or just in general? Thank you so much for the help. Link to Arduino demo code: http://arduino.cc/en/Reference/MouseMov ... lock#=1 My code: void setup() { Serial.begin(4800); Mouse.begin(); } void loop() { if (analogRead(0) > 500) { Serial.println("Hello"); Mouse.move(100,100,0); } else { Serial.println("Goodbye"); Mouse.move(-100,-100,0); }

Audio playing on page load due to ads????

So I just opened a few instructables from the latest email newsletter, which is always fun. I have about 8 tabs open. And then... some random audio ad starts playing at full volume. Something about oxygen network. Of course I have no idea which instructable page is playing the ad, so I can 1) wait it out while the audio ad plays, or 2) close tabs one by one to see which is the offending page. Why in the world would instructables.com allow audio ads on their website? I understand if they require user interaction (explicitly clicking to start audio). But instant audio as soon as the page loads is an awful web faux pas. If this were more common place, I'd either block all instructable ads (which would be detrimental to the site, I'm guessing), or just stop visiting (which would be detrimental to me :( ) I really hope this is just a mistake and gets fixed.

How do I train for a marathon due this December 2011? Answered

Hi, i used to be active in school but that was donkey years away. So now a friend has invited me to join her for a 5 km fun-run marathon. My questions are : What diet should I plan? Should I count calories? I am a working mother so I need to plan my time carefully. If you have any suggestions on the timeframe that I should train it would be grateful. What exercise regiment should I follow? Please include a link, if possible since I always read first and follow instructions to the T. Should I time myself whenever I run? Should I train on a treadmill or run at the park? Thanks for the help and I look forward to your suggestions.

HOW TO PAD/CUSHION/BUFFETT TURNTABLES FROM SKIPPING DUE TO FOOT-TRAFFIC?

I HAVE A BASIC, BELT-DRIVEN, PIONEER TURNTABLE. THE TURNTABLE IS USED FOR REGULAR PLAYBACK, NOT FOR TURNTABLISM. THE TABLE CURRENTLY SITS ON A SMALL, FLAT, LEVEL, WOODEN TABLE (APPROX. 18 INCHES HIGH.) THE TURNTABLE HAS FOUR PLASTIC FEET ATTACHED WITH SMALL SCREWS. THE CARTRIDGE HEAD RIDES WELL, WITHOUT SWAY, AND WITHOUT RIDING TOO HEAVILY ON ITS NEEDLE. HOWEVER, THE CARTRIDGE DOES TEND TO SKIP WHEN PEOPLE WALK THROUGH THE ROOM, WHICH HAS OLD WOODEN FLOORS THAT CARRY VIBRATIONS(ESPECIALLY FOOTSTEPS,) WELL. IS THERE A SIMPLE SOLUTION e.g., rubber mats, padding, etc., or a more involved solution,e.g., floating platforms, spring cushioned platforms, suspension systems? * I prefer not to add weight to the cartridge head balance e.g., turning balance weights forward on arm, adding pennies to cartridge head. etc. thanks, and sorry about previous caps. in text.

how to avoid lump formation due to carbonates in lab slab cultured marble samples.?

When we make lab samples, small lumps are formed which is difficult to break in the mixtures. This on pressing gives spots of carbonate specks which looks very odd and damages the beauty of the samples.

How should I emulate an RS232 mouse using the programming port on an Arduino Due?

I tried to make a USB mouse to RS232 mouse adapter with my Arduino Due, but I couldn't. I used the right protocol and even tried to have the program send a capital M when it started, which is what real RS232 mice do when the DTR line is toggled (I was guessing that the DTR line was used to reset the Arduino). Can it be done, or will I need a separate adapter?

Ible didn't appear t'ill today due to contest but is now on page 4 of recent?!

Hello all, Saturday I made an instructable called "How to make a ping pong ball gun" for the "DadCanDO Family Fun" contest. You can find it here: https://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-make-a-ping-pong-ball-gun/ As I said it was made saturday july 10 but since I entered it into the "DadCanDO Family Fun" contest it did not appear on the site itself that day but was kept on hold until it could be moderated for entry in the contest. I look today and my entry has been accepted, I'm very happy with that but when you browse ibles by recent you can't find it untill page 4 because it was released saturday! Now that kinda bothers me since my ible will get less views and it wasn't visible for the last few days. So my suggestion in this matter would be that either your ible does not appear on the site untill it's accepted but that when it's accepted the ible takes that release date so it get's on page 1. Or that when you enter an ible in a contest it always immediatly appears on the site and get's enterd in the contest later. I would like to hear some other peoples thoughts on this problem. I know it's not the biggest one we have but it seems that this one could be solved pretty simple and without a lot of work for the staff. Regards, Michel

HELP! I need help with connecting to my internet due to the new router that I purchased.

So I just bought a new router, and everyone else in the household is able to connect to the internet. We set up the router on a different laptop from the one I use. I am unable to connect to the internet. I have tried running an instillation of the ASUS Wireless Router Utilities of the router with a disc that was in the box with the router. I have entered and re-entered the password several times. My computer has windows 7 (I believe), it is an IBM thinkpad The router is an ASUS the encryption is a WPA2 personal When the new router was set up, we changed the name from our previous internet name (that is what an employee of our internet provider told us to do) When I try to connect to the internet it says the connection failed with a red x by the words waiting for association. I use Access connections to connect to the internet. A window also pop-ups when the connection fails with the title ThinkVantage Access Connections. It says: "Unable to connect to teh selected wireless network. You may need to configure your sustem to support the authentication method that is in use. Contact your nework administrator." Please let me know if you need any other information. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you can help!

I want to delete all of my instructables for moral/job related reasons, but due to contest entries I cannot!

FOr reasons due to my boss at work and republican voting people and moral people that comes to my work and knows me and my own boss, I'm needing to delete all my instructables, but for some reason due to having them submitted to the 2012 Halloween Contest last year, I just cannot! So can someone (an administrator or someone who works on this site) please delete them for me and erase any traces on the internet that would link back to them? I'm doing everything I can to delete all my pics on the internet myself due to job related reasonings so I don't get found out by my own boss and get possibly fired over it!

K'nex M4 Carbine

About time I made an M4 carbine. The farthest shooting/accurate and sturdiest gun i've made to date mostly due to the muzzle loading. WHAT!!! NO MAGAZINE!!! yep, it was abandoned due to horrible range and often jams. It's more of a sniper than an assault rifle and is extremely accurate with a grey rod + grey connector. It uses a modded dsmans barrel for maximum accuracy and distance, accuracy due to the barrel going through the forgrip. I also added a 4-railed foregrip for attachments such as virtical foregrip (shown in pic), bipod, dot scope, lights/lasers, or anything that can attach. Tell me what you guys think.

Change phone language from spanish to english

I have a Sprint Sanyo Katana, some of my friends thought it would be funny to change the language to spanish. I can not find how to change the language back, partially due to the menus in spanish are different from the english menus on Sprint's online manual, and partially due to everything is abbreviated to fit on the screen. Google was no help.

My New Knex Gun- DG12 Marksman rifle

Hello Knexers! this is a new gun that is unpostable due to a bug that won't let me upload images on 'create'.This is a rachet system slingshot rifle. It is good enough to be a snipers rifle, but due to the mediocre accuracy produced, I decided to make it a Marksman rifle. It is accurate up to 30ft or so, but its maximum range is about 60-80ft. The mechanism is always reliable (Thanks to I_am_Canadian's striker pistol) and never breaks. The gun is only 3-layers thick due to my lack of pieces. There is a foldable rear sight positioned at the front of the stock. Ammo is variable from a blue rod with a red connector, all the way up to a grey/black/clear size with a red connector. I would not recommend this as a primary, due to the time taken to reload in all slingshots. If so make this a sort of secondary. Mods: Last two pictures Credit: I_am_Canadian for his striker pistol Dedicated to Geodez and DJRadio, who make me laugh (geodez) and dedicate time to help me (DJ).

Just a spot to post random ideas for inventions. Example: If you took a crank, put the right amount of weights on it, and let it go from the top, it would go around forever due to the momentum. Anyone interested?
