Of all the food recipes on here, I see nothing of the sort for bread maker recipes. I just got one this christmas and have been making some rather delicious white bread and recently, carmalized onion bread, ooo god, F****** delicious. If no one has any good recipes to offer I'm gonna experiment myself and start posting some bread maker recipes, I like food and so does everybody else.

Saturday, my parents and friends threw me a surprise birthday party! And if that wasn't cool enough, my mom had made the cake look like Robot. Chocolate and vanilla cake, licorice, Rolos, cinnamon rolls, Snickers bars, and Sugar Babies. Yum!(Its black and white because she based it off of my memopad)

Hi,I was just wondering why people on instructables have such bad spelling and grammar, as the title probably would have informed you of.I'm from England and besides from the obvious difference in languages between Standard English and ,erhm, the so called "American English", people just seem to have appalling spelling.By the way I was just spelling badly in the title to try and be ironic, but i guess my efforts were futile.(If you don't know what any of the words mean, LOOK THEM UP).Take a look at these pics i nicked off the InternetP.S. Colour looks so much better spelt with a "u"Spelt, yum yum.If you don't get the above joke look the word"spelt" up on the InternetP.P.S. Try and count, and point out the spelling and grammar mistakes I made on this topic.

Evil Mad Scientist has been really putting out the LED projects lately. They were selling a Mooninite kit, then they had pink LEDs (yum), and now they have info on how to make Peggy, an LED display where you simply plug them in and watch them glow. This 25 x 25 grid allows you to worry about what image you want to glow instead of how they're going to be wired up. Evil Mad Scientist page

Okay. So.I dunno, guys. I keep hearing "Linux this, Linux that", but I really don't know. It's not working for me so far. And I've been at it since March.Recently, I made a LiveUSB of Fedora 9 (I'm not allowed to install Linux to HDD until I buy my own PC). I experienced problems with the LiveUSB; mainly, the "persistent overlay" was not being recognized. After more than several attempts, I got it to work. Now I'm trying to install AWN. I opened up Terminal, typed in su, and then typed in this:yum install avant-window-navigatorand it installed. It didn't say anything about errors or anything. So I went to Applications > Accessories and sure enough, there it was. I clicked it. I saw a window flash at the top left of my screen, and then nothing. Three more tries. Same reaction each time. Now the way I understand it, I need Compiz in order for AWN to work. I though Fedora 9 had Compiz. Do I need to enable a setting or something?Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I paid $3 for my first mug of Chai Latte' in one of those fancy internet cafe's. It was love at first sip, but I didn't have $3 for every time i craved another mug. I tried a number of powdered and liquid mixes, but couldn't find anything cheap enough for me. Then I found (and modified) a recipe for making it at home, and many who have tasted it say it's better than Starbucks. I drink as much as I want now without guilt! Here's the simple recipe: In a sauce pan, combine 2 C. water, 2 regular tea bags, 1/8-1/4 t. EACH of ground ginger and cardamon, 1 whole clove, and one cinnamon stick. Boil for 5 minutes. Then add 1/4 c. sugar (or 6 Splenda pkts.), and 2 1/2 C. milk. Bring to a boil, strain (if desired) and serve. Notes: 1. If you purchase your spices at the grocery store, you'll pay a bundle. You can get most of them at Gordon Food Service or similar places. Cardamon will be harder to find in a quantity. I have had lots of luck, though, at health food stores. You can purchase it by weight in small quantities and pay a fraction of the grocery store price. (A jar of cardamon at the store was $11 - the same quantity at the health food store was less than $2.) 2. Did you know that cinnamon sticks don't get "used up" very quickly? I used to throw the cinnamon stick away after each batch of chai - what a waste! Now I rinse it when I'm done and give it a sniff - if it smells cinnamon-y, it still has flavor to impart. In this recipe, you can reuse your cinnamon sticks 3-4 times - maybe more! 3. Variations: If you want a more dessert-like beverage, top off your chai with a dallop of whipped cream and sprinkle with nutmeg - YUM! Also, it can be made more or less rich by varying what kind of milk you use (skim or whole) or even replacing some of the milk with cream. Making homemade chai might not make you rich, but it will make the lean times taste a lot better! Enjoy!

Hello Again! So, What did I do today...During breakfast this morning I wrote up yesterday's log, which was exciting yet depressing... because of the burnt Peanut Butter Sandwich... no, that wasn't the top-secret project, DON'T WORRY!Other than that...hmm, well, initially, I just made some new "homepage images," then Billy and I attacked the semi-old yet miserably slow laptop that was attached to the "new" laser cutter and cleaned that out. Yeah, we made it run nice and fast =)After that, NoahW and I went out to Trader Joe's for Salad Club shopping. Yep, today was our day to cool lunch!Noah brought his mini-barbecue and we bbq'ed steak, chicken, and tofu! YUM! We also prepared a HUGE salad, which I'm not used to, 'cause I've never made salad before. For all of you who don't know how to make salad, basically, you get to kill a bunch of vegetables with a large, sharp, blade... VERY ENTERTAINING!Unfortunately, I forgot the muffin tin from "home" (Eric and Christy's House), so I wasn't able to bake muffins... there's always next week, though! After lunch, Jason, Noah, and I went out to home depot to get supplies for the top-secret project... I think I'll call it Proj. X, from now on. Anyway, we got all of the materials that we're going to need for Proj. X except for the surgical tubing V_v... it was just too darned expensive, so we're just going to order it online. However, tomorrow, we can start building! YAY!I'm starting to write up a new Instructable on my Hypercube Bubble maker, which should be published relatively soon. I'M EXCITED!I've also started on a template for the Instructables Badges, hopefully those will be rolling out of the laser cutter relatively soon, too!Umm... what else? Well, I MIGHT be able to make Cotton Candy Machine (Mark III) here! Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to use any of the heavy machinery (ie. the lathe), so I'll teach Billy how to use it and he could make my parts for me! This, However, depends on how much time I have to spend on projects, and if I'm willing to buy the aluminum (= a lot of $)Just for any of you who hadn't read my previous posts, I'm having the time of my life here at Instructables, and if you end up producing really nice Instructables, you might get the opportunity to intern, too! Remember, if there's a will, there's a way!Cheers,-MuffinatorP.S. I've included a picture of the view from my room. Yeah, I know, I had to make it all artsy... it's the Oakland Skyline at Night. It looks pretty cruddy in the "preview", so take a look at the full-sized image by clicking on the "I" in the upper left hand corner on the picture.
