How to make a pole camera to check bird nests? Answered

I need to make a camera (a cheap one is ok-even a web cam) that is mounted on top of a pole, that I can lift up and take a picture (or video) of a nest. I need to be able to see where I'm pointing the camera, so I need a monitor I can connect with the camera, and then be able to remotely trigger the camera. Any suggestions on how to rig an inexpensive setup like this?

Tape a cheapie wireless survelliance camera from walmart (under $50, just off the top of my head) to a pole. Just connect it to a monitor like normal.

Why not just a USB webcam on a long pole? You can get USB extension cables so you can connect it to a laptop at a convenient level.
