How to start into PIC? Answered

Hey friends! Yesterday my uncle gave me an old pic16f72 microcontroller. I am a beginner to arduino and have written few programs myself but PIC is absolutely obsolete to me. I want to ask that is pic a standalone ic to program or it need other hardware. Also in which language are these programmed. Plz tell me all the basics. Thanks! :)

If it is a bare PIC then you will need a programmer to do anything with it - but these are very simple things.

It is programmed in some form of machine code, possibly assembler.Google will be your friend.

IF you get it programmed it will be several orders faster than any Arduino you have used.

PS BY no means obsolete!

I am trying to help you, but the thing is "help" usually should start AFTER someone did a proper search on the net.

You ask a lot but never really finnish anything, no feedback either, to some it might look like a waste of time trying to help.
To some it might just look like someone is too lazy to use a search engine ;)

He's right though. Using Google for a bit will stop you looking foolish.

You asked a lot of questions with your two accounts, most of them either with no answers or no follow up from from.

Can you ever be bothered to try Google first and actually read about something you try before you abandone it anyway?
