I wish to create a super circuit board if you will, out of pre-existing working boards. How do I do that?? Answered

I want to make a system, designed specifically for my needs. I an trying to make a system that detects G loads, accelerometer, force gauge, current speed and altitude. I may add more. But I am wondering if it can be done, and if so, how? I know nothing of circuitry or anything. So help!

Does it HAVE to be electronic? There are always more than ONE way to accomplish a task. For example, a simple pendulum with a calibrated scale could be made out of a popsicle stick and weight tied to the bottom. As the speed increases, the pendulum would move and indicate acceleration. Similarly, a simple balloon could be inflated as an altitude gauge. As altitude increases, the balloon would expand more and more... which could push some kind of lever and altitude could be measured. Sometimes, simple is better, and more complex is not always the best answer. depends on what you are trying to accomplish.

Maybe it's better for you to just use an arduino and plug all the sensors you need to it, circuit free! (probably, depending on the sensors and they're in shields or you have to connect them with wires)

+1 would be much easier to look at individual shields. You can connect them in series with I2C connections.

I imagine it can be done BUT:

1. your going to need to use a microprocessor to crunch all that data from the various sensors.

2. Your going to need to programme it

3. The individual boards/chips are available but not all that cheap.

4 You have a stiff learning curve ahead - Start with simple things and work up to the complicated thing you want at the end.

Look for the manuals they will help even if you don't use the Picaxe system.

Just study the iPod and build the features you need
