Soft toy/inflatable design software Answered

Does anyone know of a way I can design my soft toy/sculpture/inflatable in 3d then print out the parts with software? Otherwise, how should I do this?

Appreciate the help!

The industry software is solidworks or rhino with a plugin called ExactFlat Lite for Rhino or ExactFlat Lite for solidworks. Unfortunately it is very expensive... $6,250 for rhino and $11,990 for solidworks. But its pretty amazing since it also helps maximize your cutting surface and exports a file that factories can use to make your creation..You can see it in action here...

Hope this helps :)

You might try the program PePaKuRa (http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/). There's a shareware version you can try for free. It's meant for paper crafting, but I'll bet you could use it for cloth models as well. You'd have to add your own seam allowances and blow up the pattern pieces.

I have no idea how to do this, but will appreciate if anybody knows and shares her knowledge with us. I'm really interested in it, too
