What the best alternative to iDVD? Answered

I need to burn a mkv file to DVD, but iDVD can't do it. I don't know the reason. Could you recommend some alternatives to iDVD for me? Free is better. Thanks

If you're looking to get it to play on a DVD player, it won't work. Some people are reporting that some Blu-ray players will but you would have to do some research first. If you don't care about external player support then windows should just be able to burn it as it would any other file. Insert a blank DVD and drag-and-drop. Make sure that the file size isn't exceeding, or even very near, the disks capacity.
