How do I rewire the power cord to a Thermadyne 38 plasma cutter power switch, not having a cord to begin with?

.  For 120VAC, the hot wire will go to the switch and the neutral will be connected to a neutral terminal of some sort.

. Find the cutter's dataplate and determine how much current the unit pulls. Search the web for "AWG ampacity chart" to find out what size wire you need. Obtain the proper size and length cable. Wire as per the old cord.

. Oops! Since you don't have the old cord, see if you can find a manual for the cutter online.
