ering Groups like freecycle? Answered

I was wondering if there are any groups like freecycle in the US? Where I live freecycle is pretty pathetic.

Thanks

Where do you live?
I used to be a freecycle member but following disagreements about how the UK groups should be run many of them broke away from them & formed Freegle so I am now a member of the local freegle group instead; with about 6500 members it is very active & has even won several community awards.
Have you tried asking in your local library? They very often have notice boards for local groups to advertise for free.
Alternatively you could contact your town hall or local authority refuse & recycling department, I know ours have always been quite happy to give out information about our local Freegle group.

I'm in the US so freegle isn't an option. It is a shame because it sounds good.

Yes there is freecycle.org. It is very easy to find with a web search.

I think judging by the wording of the question that nurdee1's problem is not that he can't find a freecycle group just that the one in his area does not fulfill his needs.
