what kind of finish to use on a sign that is made with a wood burner Answered

i recently got into wood burning and don't know what to use as a finish
wax, oil, etc

the project  is a piece of drift wood with some words burnt into it so the finish needs to stop the ash from being weathered away

Spray can polyurethane usually goes on really smooth. Be sure to do a light layer first and let completely dry.

Take your pick. Any clear wood finish would work. Most use polyurethane. Especially if it's going to be displayed outside.
