Kris Kuksi Answered

Are any of you familiar with the artist Kris Kuksi? I had the fortune to see some of his work in person at a gallery...incredibly intricate. I'm pretty sure he's making off of this using a 3D printer:

Wow, I wonder if he actually creates any of the soldiers and figures using plastic injection molding techniques or if he simply welds plastic together. Seeing the sculptures in person, the work was seamless. Some of the soldiers had animal heads...I'm not sure where he would have found those so I'm assuming he created them somehow.

His website states that he is using a collage of plastic soldiers and other found items. Besides, although a 3D printer may be capable of such intricate detail, the composition and finish would not be of a consumer type 3D printer and would probably take weeks or months to print. Since he is a traditional artist in various forms, I don't think 3D printing would suit him.
