Hi, I'd like to make a tryptych that sits on a table, so it wouldn't be very large. For those who aren't familiar with the word "tryptych" I'll offer the following... Definition: tryptych - A work consisting of three separate surfaces, typically two smaller surfaces alongside a larger central surface. So, I'd like to know what to make it out of, would mattboard be solid enough, should I use wood? How would I hinge them together? If you've ever seen one you know more about them than I do. Basically, this will be a piece of artwork which I can decorate. But, if anyone has ideas about how I can implement this, I'd appreciate it.
