Sorry, I cannot offer much help here. I have little bullpup experience except in bullpup slingshots. I have built a few of those.

Honestly, in a firing pin weapon, the bullpup setup is useless, giving you a longer weapon with more barrel friction.

the only fp bullpup I have built is the SABR. Man, i was foolish,I thought it would shoot feet flat like Sharir said. Nope, only 70 feet angled and the orange connectors on the bullet would break all the time.

Bottom line, bullpups are only good for slingshots. I realize I probably helped you very little, and bugged you with my thoughts about bullpups, but hey, I was bored. ;)

Yes i know FP bullpups are kind of useless but I wanted to just make a bullpup to have the experience. Whats the best slingshot bullpup you have made?

OK. I dunno. Probably my favorite was when I modified Dash to a ratchet system gun, it was pretty epic.

I designed my own bullpup slingshot, it was a three layer gun with a nice stock. I sacrificed power for comfort by not putting the ratchet near where my cheek rested. It was basically to prove that three layer guns do not have to be lame pieces of junk. It had a sweet handle and foregrip too.

Here ya go. It was basically a beginners weapon though. Still, it could put oodammo though cardboard.

I have built this. https://www.instructables.com/id/Bijou-A-Knex-Rifle/

The turret part worked a bit roughly, but the sear was great. Not as good as a normal TR, but sears seem like they could work very well if skillfully built. The main problem is you have to get the sear to catch on the back of a pin, and that means attaching more connectors to the pin, and making it difficult to get a really strong pin.

Just sayin' :)

Like Corgi said, bullpup mechs in standard firing pin guns are basically useless.
You either have your pin sticking out from the back, or get a gun that's way too long to be comfortable. On top of that, friction, firing pins that are awkward to reach etc.
If you really want to make one of those though, I guess you could try some of Seleziona's guns.

Slingshots are the way to go when building a bullpup weapon. With these kind of guns, you can have a (relatively) short overall length, while still having a lot of power in the stretched out rubberbands.

1+, just a warning though, the Dash has misfire problems, I got hit in the chest while shooting it, the band caught the bullet and flung it back. Oodammo slingshots seem to have that problem a lot, DJ's oodammo slingshot punched my glasses lens out on a misfire.

Ah, thanks for the warning then.
I personally never built the Dash, but it looked reliable enough from the photos. I did have that problem with the Sipriani rifle, though.
The misfiring problem could maybe be fixed by using different ammo, though, like attaching the red connector to the rods in one of the 90 degrees slots, and then placing it with the rod pointed towards the front of the gun.

How far can the sipiriani shoot? When I have used the recommended ammo for it in guns like it, it seems like it is useless for anything but blasting though cardboard.

I think I got it to shoot 20 meters, it's years ago that I built it, though.
Never really built slingshots for just range, though. Mostly raw power, like shooting through cardboard and short range target shooting (with fewer rubberbands).

Yeah, most ratchet slingshots are like that. Free flying slings, like the srv3 are good for range though.

No problem!

I haven't really built rail guns, but they look like they work better in a bullpup design than standard pin guns.

The answer is any one you make. You will learn what is missing, can't be done, needs improvement, what works, what doesn't. That is the art of getting the hang of things. Good luck.

Thank you for your information but i would like to have a list of good bullpups to build not just any thing you make because i thought that some Knexers who have made more guns would have a recommendations for what bullpups are the best.
