Is there going to be a halo 4? I've heard there will be a new one called Halo Chronicles. But the storyline is unknown, but what could it be? Anybody have any ideas? Or where to find info about it. Come on People. The fate of the Chief is on the line. And the fate of Halo.

I'd doing a project which requires a 4" x 4" x 24" piece of hard maple. If 4" x 4" doesn't exist or is very hard to get, a 2" x 4" would be ideal as well so I don't have to layer 4 1" x 4" pieces, i am just not sure of its availability

How hard would it be to make a metronome with 4 leds. I don't care about speakers. There are projects like that in instructables and youtube but they're all 2 leds and a speaker. They go 1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2 I want it to go 1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4 it would be pretty cool with different color leds. What would it require, probably similar materials to the instructables, but less cause there is no speaker. How would the circuit look like?

Hello, I'm currently trying to use a touchscreen that has 4 wires but 8 pins. I have a connector with 8 outputs, but I read some topics about touchscreens and everybody uses just 4 of them. So, right now, I'm using just 4 pins (It works with some noises) and my question is: If I use the 8 pins it will be better? If yes, how to connect them? Hey, I'm not understanding something here. If I hook up a pot (left 9v, middle A0, right GND), I get a varying voltage into pin A0 on Arduino. Then Arduino converts this into whatever. Well when I hooked up 4 potentiometers parallel to the same battery, and had them on pins A0-A3, none of the pots worked. Whenever I turned one pot, it would change the value for all the others (i was using serial monitor). How do I correctly hook up four pots to Arduino?

Well, here's my first attempt at making my V4. It's packed with features but unfortunately it isn't reliable yet so DON'T BUILD IT! I'm probably going to end up having to totally modify it to work so I wanted to get a picture before I ended up destroying it without hopes of getting it to work. Anywho, I don't care for block pistols but after giving it a shot, it's much easier to incorporate things like a pinlock this way. I'll start listing off the features because I don't want my entire picture to be comprised of yellow boxes. Starting at back working to the front: 1. Uses a new pin concept that I've been working with. There's a red connector connected to the pin, and then the yellows are connected as show to absorb the force. In theory, this should mean that because the force isn't transferred to the connection of the pin and the band holder, it shouldn't require any sort of other force suppressors to keep the pin in. However, it does make a loud clap so I'm probably going to try adding rubber bands around the connectors (but not around the pin) to quiet it. 2. I finally added a pin lock. I'm bleh on it though as it requires a broken orange in the barrel (I just have these pieces "naturally' so I figured most K'nexers would) and a band to ensure it works, but it works nonetheless and it adds almost no friction from the way it's on. 3. I stole KSC's idea for wheels. I'm not sure how much it'll help but I figured, eh, it doesn't hurt. 4. It uses the bullpup trigger idea from my PDR so that I can have a more compact weapon with good power. 5. The handle is from my new UMP and was added to give a more comfortable angle. It also is three layers with no white rods needed. It's decent as far as comfort goes. 6. Finally, it has a tilting mag that's right in front of the handle, so it's easy to access. The problem is I need to make a better pusher and figure out a lock for the new pusher. I think the barrel is part of it because I went back to the old blue rod style. The gun isn't reliable at all. 7. Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention that I'm experimenting with adjustable sights. I didn't make adjustable sights for this gun, per se, but rather I added multiple folding sights that are at the same height, taller than the front sight. This means that the closer the rear sight you use, the more of an angle the gun has. I doubt this'll be useful at all but there was room so I just threw them in there much like the wheels. And that's that. The feel of the weapon is pretty nice. It's balanced. But yeah, that's all I've got to say.

Ok, so I made some mods to my AR-4 v3. There are 3 major mods, a couple of other minor cosmetic mods, and one performance mod. Picture 2- minor stock mod. This mod allows people to extend their stocks to make it longer. Picture 3- New hopper based off of Killerboy's removable mags. Major mod. By using his hopper as a fixed mag, It now allows me to hold 9 yellow rods, which is pretty big. It does jam, but rarely. The rounds will all stay in the hopper if you vigorously shake it, and you can remove the rounds pretty easily. Picture 4- Minor trigger mod. All it is is replacing the hinge with 2 Y connectors, a white rod, and a purple one slot connector. Picture 5- Scope mod. This connects the scope to the top of the gun, making it a better hand grip for carrying. Picture 6- Yet another scope mod. This mod was made to adapt to the new fake barrel, which was filled up instead of only the middle row having the orange connectors. Picture 7- Mod to the bottom of the gun. The last one was just having blue rods, this one fills it up with connectors. Picture 8- Foregrip mod. This is the second of the 3 major mods. I did away with the bipod and modded the bottom to have a new grip. Mainly a comfort mod. Picture 9- Barrel mod. The last major mod. This mod was made after several people noted that the ammo needed some 'Help' to get into the barrel. I basically just filled in the hollow area where the ammo would jump from the hopper to the barrel, so you dont have to stick your finger in. Picture taken from top of gun. That stuff above it is what you connect the scope to.

I was looking back at the old K'nex war log posts. I saw people criticisim and know I understand how I should do it. This one, is for everybody. 11/23/10 The war has been going on for some time now. It hasn't really captured the world's eye yet, but it will someday. To date, the death toll is only 3, but the injury toll is 256. Many outsiders have been recruited, and they are usually the main injuries. 1/23/11 The leaders of both armies have agreed to join forces to take over a rising power... the Lego gunners. Their army has never been a major threat, until now. They recruited 1,000s of people, from far and near. Most people say they are easy to take down, but I don't know. 2/12/11 The first few battles have been fought, and we have been winning, but something amazing happened. To be continued...

So here's the problem, my friends and I are in college and love our x-box console, but hate the small screen. Not having a big scren, we are trying to find out how to get the one console to have four screens. We all have smaller TV's and there is on medium one in our living room. The game splits up 4 players into equal quaters of the screen. My thought is that the x-box video should go into a laptop and then be split u into 4 displays, with the laptop screen being the a full screen. The laptop in question has 1 S-video, 1 standard monitor output, and 5 USB ports. How do we do this, for cheap? I'm thinking it would maybe work like those walls of TV's that make up 1 big picture.

Just a quick question, how do people get on top of shipping containers in Call of Duty 4? In Wet Work? I was playing Team Deathmatch online(PS3) and I occasionally see people up there(not oldschool mode). I was on Cage Match once and my opponent was on top of one... Can't seem to figure out how to get there... Also, has anyone noticed that sometimes during normal, non-oldschool games, that some people can jump really high? Just jumping around to avoid getting shot? I've saw this, and I'm pretty sure that its not just normal jumping... I googled these a second ago and I couldn't find anything...any ideas?

I have a portable tv here, lost the screws for the back cover, but other than that it still works. ( Wont pick up tv stations --> everything went to digital) Good for projects that need a small CRT Comes with a small wall wart. $23 for it ---> total Because it costs abit to pack it so nothing breaks ---> large flat rate box Anywhere in the USA

Hi team I posted this on the Arduino forum, and had a search through several electronics sites; perhaps there's also someone here who can suggest something. I have successfully hooked up my touchscreen to Max via Arduino; the code is fine, the circuit is fine and the Max patch is fine. I'm just wondering if it's possible to tweak the sensitivity of the entire circuit? When touching, one must press fairly firmly, otherwise any relaxation of touch, even with continued contact, results in a rapid fall to zero. In the Max patch, I'm using [sel 0]-> outR, after all the [serial] gubbins to help smooth some jitter. But is it possible to tweak the sensitivity, perhaps by using resistor values other than 10k. Hey, maybe even connect a variable resistor to allow realtime tweaks? Hmmm. Thanks Brendan

Alo Again,Well, this morning I didn't have the opportunity to burn my PB sandwich, not only because it was a PB&J; sandwich, but because the oven was filled with semi-burnt roasted tomatoes/garlic.Anyhow, Today I did some more outreach for the new Launch It! Contest and... drumroll please.... Billy and I shipped all of the remaining Laser Cutter Contest Winners' prizes! Woo Hoo! Other than that, the morning was pretty chill. I'm getting used to the much more relaxed setting here at Instructables. At all of my other internships I've had, everything was always so fast-paced, tense, and ridiculously demanding. At Instructables, everyone's just Chill. Everyone enjoys what they're doing. It's awesome.Also, I downloaded the Instructables MySQL dumpfile from Rachel, and I'm in the process of getting it back into MySQL. Eventually, I'm going to try and make some cool new statistic features for you guys!Billy and I tested out some LEDs and my ultra-thin/flexible solar panels, which are hella awesome. The specs say that they get 3V @ 22 mA max in the sunlight, but yesterday, I got that in the shade. In the sunlight?: 4.19V!After that, Jason, Billy, Noah and I checked out the Water Jet in Instructables' machine shop. Billy had to cut some stuff for a project of his, but watching the machine "do its thing" was really cool. There's so much awesome stuff here, I still can't believe it.Noah, Jason, and I then picked out some stuff that was going to get thrown out to use in Proj. X, and we ordered the Surgical Tubing, too!Then, Jason, Mike (Works for Potenco), and I went to the beach to check out the kite boarders, and fly the trainer kite. (Eventually, we'll get to kite board, too!)Alright, I think that I'm actually going to go get started on Proj. With my mind on something else I very very stupidly(i KNOW I KNOW)put my almost brand new iPhone 4 into the washing machine. Its been drying for 3 and a half days but still wont turn on. My new plan is to put it in rice,leave it in the airing cupboard overnight and try plugging it into my laptop in the morning. Any other advice?

I find it all to easy to bog down my 4" table saw, causing the flimsy belt to run off the pulley. I'm thinking I need to change pulleys to increase speed and, ad a stronger/thicker belt. Any feedback out there would be appreciated. Hubiewan

I have 4 CPU fans and I want to wire each of them to its own switch and then all 4 fans (with the 4 switches) to one master switch. How can I do that? The fans are 80mm 12v DC and are now connected to an adapter directly. Any help would be appreciated. I have an idea for a stylized plywood coffee table that is all made from a single board of 3/4" Baltic Birch plywood. I've attached a .jpg of a coffee table base-design to this email. The bends on either side are 4 inch radius bends. Although I have basically no experience bending plywood, I sincerely doubt 3/4 inch plywood is going to bend into right angles at a 4 inch radius. I may be wrong, but if it is possible, I do not know how to do it, and certainly do not have the equipment. I've seen on the internet very flexible sheets of plywood, but wouldn't that just get glued into position and then just collapse once un-molded? I can't believe that I am the only person who wants to do something like this. Any input?

Recently i made a LED cube, on my own, and i want it to display characters, alphabets numbers going layer by layer using the concept of multiplexing and POV (persistence of vision) , i googled a lot, searched on instructables too!! but was unable to find an easy code to do what i want, i am only a begginer and don't have very much knowledge .
