Hi, I don't have a lot of experience with airsoft guns and I'm thinking about buying this sniper rifle (MB04D) http://gunfire.pl/product-eng-1152190936-MB04D-replica.html?text=Mb04d It is recommend to take .25g bbs but I want to hunt small animals with it so , would it break the gun if I put in .36g bbs? I am also in Ireland so the gun will have to be reduced to 328 fps from ~450fps thanks for any feedback

Hi everyone, i was looking to buy a decent CO2 bb gun, of which i found many, but always had the same problem. No American store would ship to UK. I looked everywhere at many stores, but all said the same that they shipped to USA only. The selection of guns we have in Britain are poor(as far as i've seen) and very expensive, and i have a budget of about $100 or £50. Could anyone recommend me how to get round this, and/or show me good guns available to U.K. All help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, ronmcd

I want to start playing airsoft, moving on from nerf modding. (also I'd like to make pen guns) Yet my friend could only find bb's when he went on a holiday around Europe. Are there any stores or online shops that sell these liitle plastic balls of awesomeness in the land down under?

There's this guy on youtube named GatheringSticks made a working shotgun out of a Bostitch staple gun. can anyone look into this, possibly research it and build a less-lethal(and less-illegal) version of this? I can't access youtube from this PC, but the video is easy to find, just search "homemade shotgun" I had been planning on making a single-shot pistol from a Stanley staple gun that I have, but I just don't have the necessary tools... yet... and don't worry, my version was going to be for self-defense and home protection. also, if someone does make an instructable for a staple-BB-gun, I might use the basics of that for my "StaPistol"

Very long story short, I'm making a BB gun. I've got the basic ideas and mechanics almost done, its just a matter of making it work and materials. One of my big problems right now is that the gun will be .177, but it's going to mimic the look of an old flint or caplock muzzleloading pistol, which ranged from .36 all the way up to .80 in the largest ones. Obviously the barrel will have to be concealed within a larger, false barrel. My problem is making the real barrel attach securely without negatively affecting accuracy because it's off center. fitting the breech of the real barrel with a nut or a thread insert has crossed my mind, but I'm not sure if It will be enough. pictured are some examples of caplocks so you have an idea of what the finished product is planned to look like

I am planning on using an Arduino nano (clone or similar) but am struggling to figure out how I can use a proximity sensor or other method to count shots fired... Am not sure if I could use IR, as don't know if it will detect a break at the velocity the BB's will be getting fired at.. When I get something put together am planning on mounting a nokia 5110/3210 in the butt so is visible, maybe a laser range finder etc.. Any ideas would be much appreciated

Hello! Somehow a small 9mm steel BB found it's way into a piece of wooden outdoor furniture. I know how to repair wood, but I can't seem to get the BB out. I've tried digging it out with a small knife, but that only resulted in me damaging the piece further. Do any of you have any experience with this, or ideas on further courses of action? Anything is appreciated.

I love playing airsoft but its so damn expensive, especially in canada. I've been looking at a few different methods of building a spring or elastic-powered airsoft pistol to be used when my main gun is out of ammo. I've made a couple from K'nex but they dont hold up when i put alot of elastics on them. im not interested in using the aerosol or bike-pump pvc models, i've built those too but they take too long for each shot. Help me out Please :)

I am considering getting the rap4 bb pellet airgun it has semi and full auto removeable carry handle and can have many attachments. what is the best airsource for it (must fit in the stock)? can you take off the handguard and put on a full ris rail with rails on all four sides? how fast does it shoot? what upgrades can it take? what accesories should i put on it? is it better to get a red dot or reflex sight? what is the best kind off bb or pellet to use?
Question by Golani warrior 7 years ago
Hey guys! Basically, i want to make a kick-ass BB gun turret. I have 2 big guns that look like the M16 (automatic) I want to make a turret that will scan for people/objects and shoot them when i say so (so i don't kill my cat). I have money, skill (I have made my own electric tricycle) and time. I was thinking that a combination of the Mindstorm NXT, a webcam and an RC car would do the trick. Here's some details why i think so: Mindstorm: Detects motion and can turn the turret 360 degrees when i say so. RC car: can pull trigger and also turn the turret 360 degrees Webcam: I wanna be able to film/see the person i shoot. Any thoughts on this? If you know a way that will allow me to exclude the NXT that would be great. Also: I'm 14, i live in China, Servos are harder/impossible to get by, and my parents are supposed to know i'm making this (i'm making this for a "client"...) Edit: Won't be needing the NXT... Still: anyone have any good ideas?

I'm using .2g bbs with my UTG MK23 airsoft pistol, which I have been told are better than the .12g because they will not curve up. Yet when I shoot with the .2g bbs, they still curve way up and I have to aim below my target to hit it. Does anyone know why this might happen and/or how to fix?

These guns can be fun to have they are also a big responsibility. If you want to get a license you need to take a course that lasts about 2 days(possibly) and then you will get a test, if you pass the test depending on where you are i think you will get a certificate. After all this you should be able to apply for a license... Now if you are a MINOR in Canada you need to be from the age of "12 to 17" you will need to do all the same things as you would do for the adult license, this license is only for a minor who gets a gun from a licensed adult. The gun can not be purchased by a minor it needs to be registerd under the name of a licensed adult. the price for a minors license rages from about $10 to $30, it depends on how long you will have it for. the minors license in Canada will allow a minor to do the following: - target practice - hunting - instruction in the use of firearms;and - taking part in organized shooting competitions NOTE: a minor does not need a license unless he is under super vision of a licensed adult(arms length away. :( This stuff is all so interesting to me if you have a license or a gun tell me what you think of it and what you do with it.(hunting...) Do you like these guns etc. etc. talk to me about them. PCE!

I recently bought a UHC super 9 pro airsoft gun. The problem is that .2 gram bbs curve dramatically (a very steep curve) up after about 75 feet or so. The hopup is off, and if the hopup is on, the problem is worse. Will .25 gram bbs make much of a difference, or should I use .30 grams or higher? Note: the fps with .2 gram bbs is about 410. I am hoping the airsoft community at Instructables is willing to help me. Thanks.

Anyone have any good airsoft ideas, devices, bombs, claymores, or other things to help you get the upper hand in an airsoft war, because I'm getting owned by higher fps guns with a faster rate of fire. Any sort or non toxic smoke bomb would be nice. Just post anything related to airsoft here...

I ended up getting a Crosman Vantage. It was on sale for $70. I think the MSRP is $145. Yeah, I know, it's just a budget springer. But that was what I was looking for. Not something to last me the rest of my life. It has a good reputation for decent accuracy if you use the artillery hold. With 7.9 grain pellets it should be getting about 900 +/- FPS. It came in the mail the other day. Pyramid air has fast shipping. The wood is acceptable, and the barrel lock up is very solid and their is practically no barrel droop. I haven't shot it yet, but the barrel is very easy to cock for a sub magnum springer. Of course I only cocked it 80% of the way and I don't want to dry fire it. I have some Crosman Premier Hollow Points to try in it, as well as some cheap pointed pellets and destroyers I'll use to break it in. I think it will be fine for tin can killing. Not sure it's the best hunting implement, since the included scope is meh.

Question by stormv2 9 years ago | last reply 9 years ago
Okay, so here's what I'm thinking; an aluminum rod with holes in the sides for the bb's, the holes are a little larger than the bb's, and have a styrofoam chunk in each of them to hold the bb's in. Then a hole the size of the CO2 canister in the middle. I haven't worked out the timing mechanism yet, or even started to, but the firing mechanism would be a spring attached to a hammer with a spike on the end of it, pull the pin, hammer hits the co2 canister, boom. Any help/suggestions here?
